  1. I can't wait for that football game in Norman in 2021.
  2. Moving on up? To the east side? To a deluxe arena, in the sky? The Haymarket High-Rise?
  3. Husker basketball will get more coverage if/when they're good. It really is that simple.
  4. Leaving. Seriously, I've spent several weeks in the area. Not a big fan of eastern Iowa.
  5. Hey, a big thank you to everyone who made an appearance at Barry's. I really enjoyed it. We definately have to pick one game a year to get together. I'd like to think the good karma for the Huskers last night started at 9th and Q!
  6. I remember Chad Ideus, too. You know I'm not bagging on Class D kids since I'm the product of a Class D school. They're just aren't many, if any B1G prospects in towns of 500 people or less in Nebraska.
  7. Sorry about the video. You'll have to click on the open this content link. This has never happened to me before and today I don't have time to dick with it. GBR!
  8. Here we are. The final Husker game in the BDSC. The 37 seasons of Husker Hoops played there have produced six Husker teams that made the NCAA Tourney, and no conference championships. Time for a karma change. As for tonight's game, the Huskers are 7 1/2 point dogs. Wrong team favored! Seriously, I'm guaranteeing a Nebraska win tonight. The first two games NU lost in the BDSC were to Iowa and Minnesota. We took care of the first team a week and a half ago, tonight we take care of the other who also has a Nebraska native on their roster. Tonight you'll metaphorically hear "A song of (Gopher) assassins, ringing in your ears." GO BIG RED! Don't forget the pregame gathering of HHC posters at Barry's. If you get a chance, please show up, if only for a minute or two. Also, since I'm headed out the door, I'd appreciate a bump or two on this thread between now and game time. Thanks.
  9. I'll be there til 7 ish. I'm guessing others will as well. You'll get there in time, Row6.
  10. To steal a line from tcp, "We have a recruiting page?" And, speaking of the good of the order, I see Hugo Chavez died. Still waiting to see whether or not the White House orders flags to be flown at half staff.....
  11. Trickey, I agree with you on the Journey song. I didn't want to hurt Norm's feelings.
  12. Here's something a little less played, but really good.....
  13. Norm, that song was okay the first two million times I heard it......
  14. This last segment was Coach Miles talking about his father. It was really good.
  15. Illinois game: "We were at the rim nine times in the second half and only made two of them."
  16. "I get all my news on Twitter." God help us......
  17. "We have a great league and it's my job to make it even better."
  18. I'm guessing the coach will be in studio tonight. Should be entertaining. Thoughts are always welcome here, so please post. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wGVWuWbs3Fk
  19. Reading through this thread, I got to thinking: I wonder whatever happened to turkeycorn?
  20. Two things. First of all, this last pick 'em, I was making a concerted effort to go 0fer. Stinkin' Michigan State..... Secondly, as promised, I do have a prize for the first place finisher. PM me twister31 and we'll get something figured out. Thanks for putting up with me. As you can tell by my prognosticational ability, I'm not a womens basketball follower. Probably won't hear much, if anything from me in the foreseeable future. Good luck to the Huskers the rest of this season!
  21. Why isn't Three Dog Night in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame?
  22. He reminds me of Tyronn Lue, Dapreis Owens and Andre Woolridge. I say this having watched only a few seconds of his videos. He looks really good. From what I've heard, if he was playing in the USA, he'd be a four star recruit. If I'm not mistaken, Lue, Owens and Woolridge were also. So, which one of these former Huskers will he resemble? The one that met and surpassed expectations, the one that did okay, but for the most part, fell short of expectations or the one who decided Nebraska wasn't the place for him? That's the thing about these kids. You just never know.
  23. dennis, it was a pleasure meeting you today. Hope your son enjoys the jerky.
