  1. No lower than a 2 seed in the NIT or NCAA bound. What a great year this has been and lets hope the boys keep on rolling. What a great way to start off PBA for both the guys and girls. 7 points is the difference between undefeated between both of them.
  2. Heard from one of my student manager friends that he missed his 5th film session, may be getting kicked off the team
  3. Thanks for the write up. Cant wait to host you guys to a great new arena in a great city. Might be a little colder than Florida but cant wait to watch a great game. Good Luck to You. Go Huskers
  4. A few other notes that were approved by the regents from the meeting regarding the naming of certain things. 1. The baseball team will rename the Haymarket Park Practice Facility to the Alex Gordon Training Complex. 2. The volleyball team will be naming their court at the Devaney Center Terry Pettit Court. Very cool stuff right there.
  5. Heres my feeling: Tim will not leave anywhere in the near future. He knows the upside that there is and the new arena opening up keeps him here. If nebraska happens to win tonight, that will create so much national attention and would create one of the biggest step fowards that nebraska has had in a very long time. Tim banks on building programs from ground zero. He does not want to take over a national title contender right away. Tonight would be an absolutely enourmous win plus with being able to play on CBS tomorrow (don't know the last time our men were on CBS). Now will we win tonight?? its unlikely, but hey.....thats why they call it march madness.
  6. Nebraska just extended their deal with Adidas. The deal is for another five year for $15.53 million. Of that, $7.5 million is in apparel and equipment. Personally, I do not mind Adidas at all and happy that we are sticking with them. Whats is everybody's thoughts on this?
  7. As long as we somehow pull out one win, thats a big stepping stone into the right direction once again. No matter who we played in the 2nd round, we would obviously be unlikely to win. but the craziest things happen. Especially this year
  8. i played college basketball and what I found it and what many coaches told me is that it depended on the ref. Some refs will do 5 strokes and right when he hits the 5th stroke it will be 5. Some will do the 5 strokes and right when he would do a 6th stroke is when the 5 seconds will be called. also many of them dont even count their strokes. They just have a mental clock in their head. Obviously the ref lost count in this situation and screwed us over but we still got the win
  9. Plus remind me never to drive across the state of iowa again. One of the boringest drives I have ever had.
  10. I attended the game yesterday in Iowa City and sat right behind our bench. There were some things I thought I share. Benny Parker was at the free throw line when the Iowa student section was chanting "Gary Coleman", he turns around to all us husker fans and says "I doubt he knows who Gary Coleman is." Another time he was arguing with the ref hardcore while nebraska was inbounding the ball right in front of him, he was in between our player and the ref. The ref on accident meant to throw the ball to our player to inbound but threw it to tim not realizing it then started counting the 5 seconds. He hands the ball to our player and turns around to all of us and says "He's just flustered." Now onto the Iowa fans: I do not know if tim gets yelled at this bad anywhere he goes, but there were many things yelled at him I heard many people yelling "You will not last in this league Miles" to "The refs in this league will eat you up." Also when Andre got his intentional foul (bad call) there were many people yelling at him saying that "It was on him" and on guy yelling "That's a dirty play Miles and you told him to do that." There were many other things yelled but those were the big ones. I do not like Iowa fans at all and I hope we keep dominating them in sports. Hope this was all worth your time
  11. First and one of the only times we should all be rooting for Ohio State. They play Illinois at 11:30 am on ESPN. A win over illinois would mean a matchup with Purdue in the first win. I like our chances against Purdue as we are a different team now than the last time we played them.
  12. I am leaving at 6 Am from lincoln tomorrow morning with a couple friends for the game. First time to Iowa City. anyone recommend anything there? Hoping Nebraska can get a big road win. Go Big Red!
  13. Travis Trice is officially out for Michigan State. Nebraska usually has one big upset of the year. Could this be the one??
