    Bunch of O.T. crap

Thanks, Jimmy. On the subject of academics, I heard an interesting perspective a number of years ago from Lee Roy Selmon (now deceased) when he served as athletic director at University of South Florida--as impressive a speaker as he was a football player, by the way. The essence of what he said is this: student-athletes who graduate tend to hold, in later years, a highly-positive view of their collegiate experiences; while those who do not graduate tend to hold a highly-negative view of their collegiate experiences and tend to believe that they were improperly used and abused by the system.

    Tai's summer

Had NU-FGCU still on the bottom of the DVR list, so watched it yesterday - it was amazing watching Tai & how much more confident he looked in that game versus what he looked like late in the year. The talent is there, just has to regain his confidence. I like what I've heard to so far this summer - I have a good feeling it pays off for Tai in a big sophomore season.

  4. [quote name="HuskerCager" post="81368" timestamp=" It is striking the success the women have had lately signing top 100 players. They sign more players in that category in 1 year than the men do in a decade. Why is that? Is Yori and her staff that much more effective at selling their program? No way. I don't mean to disrespect what Yori has accomplished in any way. I just think there are things going on in men's basketball that are still making this job a lot tougher than elevating the women's program. Location, location, location. All three top 100 players for next year are within a couple hour drive of Lincoln. If the men had that same luxury with some horrible men's teams in those states as well I'm sure they'd be doing just as well. Sadly they don't produce that same talent locally in the radius for men and the ones that do would end up at a KU more than likely.

  6. It is progress. Plus in the nature of transfers, the bigger the names we get in early for a visit the better... you never know where they will be next year. We really do need to close a couple tho.

    Transfers

What do you mean by weird? Just the fact that we haven't heard anything and his recruitment is very unpublicized? This is the type we usually get. The kind we hear very little about until they quietly just sign up one day. Agreed....the types that are all over twitter usually aren't Nebraska types of guys it seems.
