If he can get rondo to buy in he will be in for a much smoother transition. He didnt luck out getting Butler to 2 straight title games, the guy has one of the best minds in basketball. High Risk/High Reward situation.

I feel some of the hype (if not most) is related to the way things have gone wrong in prior off-seasons. In the past these drama's always seemed to play out the wrong way. This could be seen as the last hurdle to a "clean" start to the season. And another corner turned for the program. JMHO

I don't believe the expectations are that high for him among the more knowledgeable fans. Anyone who's watched his high school or post-high school film knows that he's a raw talent who has a lot of work to do on his game, especially on the defensive side, and a difficult transition to make from New Zealand pro ball to US college ball. It's not like folks are viewing him as a "one and done" guy or anything even remotely close to that. He's just a very talented but somewhat raw prospect who would contend for a starting spot if he gets cleared. If anything, Fran Fraschilla has made by far the most hyperbolic statements about Tai.

Didnt make the cut. Cut his list to 26 and we aren't in his top 26. Bring on Leon Gilmore and Zylan Cheatham.
