- Keeping Purdue off the offensive glass
Last time vs Purdue
Nebraska had a 58-55 lead with 6:43 to go in the second half while scoring 6 points the rest of the way. AJ Hammons put up 18 points but the 10 extra FT attempts were the biggest difference between winning and losing the game.
The skinny
Purdue is a young, inconsistent team that constantly rotates players in and out of the lineup with AJ Hammons and the Johnson brothers playing the most minutes.
A big part of what Nebraska does on defense is limit transition offense at the expense of offensive rebounds...a big part of what Purdue wants to do.
This is yet another game where the Huskers are favored to win against a team that has struggled to score on the road in the B1G. Nebraska needs to keep playing team defense and this should be another Husker victory.
Prediction: Nebraska 74 - Purdue 65 with a 92% chance of Runzas
