    Head Coach: Tom Izzo

    Location: East Lansing, MI

    Conference: B1G 10

    Nickname: Spartans

    Nickname: Sparty

Last time out: Beat Penn St

    Typical Rotation Depth: 8-9 players

Line: Opening Michigan St by 1.5

    Player to watch: Branden Dawson

The 6'6" Senior senior plays like a center as he hasn't attempted a 3 this year and is the best rebounder on the team. Putting Leslee/Moses or Shavon on him probably makes more sense than either the length of Rivers or Pitchford. This is the guy the Huskers will foul in a close game as he's shooting 43% on the season.

    The Skinny

Since Tim Miles has come to town, all 3 games against Michigan St have been decided by 10 or less. Expect a similar outcome today. The Spartans have been in sort of a lull lately, winning close home games against Northwestern and Penn St while being pummeled by Maryland. At some point they'll wake up and hopefully it's not today.

This game will come down to rebounds where the Spartans have the advantage on paper on both sides of the court. In a game where points will be tough to come by, second chances could doom the Huskers. In what should be a close game for the Spartan's first trip to the PBA, I think the home crowd is able to will the team to victory today.

    Prediction: Nebraska 61 - Michigan St 57
