Had I been voting Forbes, Costello and Hill would not have been on my second team. Can't argue with the first team though.

That's essentially what I wanted to know...

I would've taken Melo on the 1st team over Yogi. I always thought he was highly overrated and got extra props because of his goofy name.

I would contend that "Melo" is more overrated than Kevin Ferrell.

Shields led the Huskers in scoring, averaging 16.6 points per game in Big Ten play. He also averaged 4.2 rebounds and 2.5 assists in conference games.

 

Shields, who also received All-Big Ten third-team honors from the media, is ninth on NU's career scoring list with 1,571 points.

 

Nebraska junior Andrew White received honorable mention from both the coaches and media. White, a transfer from Kansas, led all Big Ten newcomers in scoring at 16.5 points per game.

 

NU's Benny Parker was the team's nominee for the Big Ten Sportsmanship Award...

 

 

AW-III had a tough stretch in the Big Ten at the worst possible time, at the end when everyone remembers. How Malcolm Hill garnered 2nd team by the AP & White is merely honorable mention is baffling to say the least.
