Always hope a ref wouldn't determine the outcome of the game. In this case they did.

If the replay shows 1/2 second then give the ball to the other team for 1/2 sec., and let happen....happen.

In this case a replay wasn't helpful?

Sad.

what a wuss for a coach "HUNDREDS"  lol  plus, when the referees blew their whistles to get people's attention, it appears to me the people on the court followed their instructions. players on the bench too. glad to see someone holds referees accountable. not to forget, the red light went off, clock showed no time left---everyone thought game was over.

Winona State coach Scott Ballard acknowledged that he brought up the idea of a technical foul to the officials. “I put the bug in their ear," he told the Winona Daily News "You can’t have people storming the floor before the game is over. That’s interfering with the conclusion of the game. There were hundreds of them. It wasn’t like a dozen. It was the entire student section.”

This is like the Texas-NU football game a few years ago, when the Texas coach talked the officials time put back (1 sec.) so Texas could kick a field goal....and won the game.....B12 title

Maybe in the heat of the moment I would have tried to get the time back on, but I guess I hope I would have just walked over and shook the hand of the other team and tell the player what a great shot.

completely agree with going to video to see if there was time left on the clock when the shot went through the basket. it's the technical on the bench that was called that made absolutely no sense to me at all. putting .4 back on the clock was understandable---plus, the only thing that might leave a team with is a deflection (tip) into the basket.

The problem is with the technical.  I think T's are being too generously accorded.  Call it the Karl Hess Syndrome; the Suspension of Common Sense!

There should have been none, game was over let the fans cheer the upset move on.
