It's still plenty early but as each game passes it's fun to look at the ratings a little more especially for the RPI.  We started out pretty low but have been steadily rising.  I'm sure most people look at the NCAA.Com one where we are currently 65th but another interesting one where we are higher is the:

The huskers have moved up a spot since this has been posted. AND Cal has made a big jump up to 55. It will be interextinguisher to see how the big w 0 schools shake out over the course of the year.

We probably learned more on our strengths and weaknesses from the OT Cal road loss then any game so far.  It will be interesting to see how we apply it in our last 2 non conference games.  Some close games are necessary in preparing for the Conference.

Looking at the Sagarin ratings the Huskers should be a slight favorite next when they play Iowa. I hope that that is true it sure would be nice to get in their heads again. And maybe the Huskers still are to an extent.

Looked at other ratings, NCAA, ESPN , etc

We're mid 30s in most. Cal has moved into Top 25 now.

Northwestern & Mich St also in mid teens. Iowa was 20th in one pole.

So the next 3 weeks will tell a ton how we're going to do....rating wise. It's wins and losses in B1G

Iowa & Northwestern are soon on the schedule..Mich St later.

No BS from here on out. Have to be at full strength right away. We should get Rachel B back for Iowa.....no telling when Maddie will return....unfortunately she's lost extremely valuable floor time.

Noise from the stands is that she is doing some dribbling skills, so I would think she is also riding bike etc. for conditioning as well. but as you say will need everybody from here on out.

Wonder if Ostrander will get any... if even a few.... minutes in coming games? Just don't see many chances for a while.

It's great she is part of the NATL. CHAMP VOLLEYBALL TEAM......but would have been nice if she had a chance, in a couple of basketball bench clearing games...but it is what it is.....as someone said

Guess it just depends on what/how she's doing in practice.  Maybe she can shoot layups  ;)....just a joke son.

It would have been nice to have put her in the Northern AZ. game when they were mugging us especially inside.  I bet she can give as well as she gets.  As for playing minutes it's still a long season and injuries as well as foul troubles can pile up in a hurry.  I think a lot depends on Washington.  It will be interesting to see if Ostrander gets playing time before she does.

Don't you think that putting Ostrander in before Washington with O having hard no if any practice time telling Washington that she is not wanted on the team. It is a hard spot for Yori to balance but one I don't see happening. JMO

At the same time Washington only played less then a minute in the first half and none at the end when everybody else got in.   I just wonder what put her in the dog house.  If it was attitude that isn't always easy to turn around.

True, I can see your side of it as well. I guess that what Yori gets paid to for is to make those decisions.

Do we know for sure it is an attitude issue? Could it possibly be grade related? Is she homesick? It seems like she gets along well with the other girls. Then again, I only see them at games and I'm sure everyone is focused on the game. Is it a playing time issue?

My thought are if she where going to transfer she would have done so at semester. And I'm with huskerchode I watch her on the bench and she seems to interact well with her team mates and coaches.

very true, but, it is difficult to say. i know it's a shot in the dark, but, i would bet they are working on her academics. whatever it is, i hope she gets it all straightened out.

Attitude can effect both play and academics.  With all the support athletes get in academics if you have trouble there it's partly attitude from my perspective.  Whatever the situation I think it will soon be resolved one way or the other.  Hope it all works out and she can be a big contributor going forward.
