It's interesting to see Purdue and Penn St. struggle like they have this season. Purdue had most of their team coming back except for the two guards Moses and Houser. And I guess PSU lost just about everything they had, How do coaches let their recruiting classes get that unbalanced?

Pretty sure that a few years ago Penn State would have had a stud class coming in- they would be sophomores this season.  Sometime before they signed 3 of their top recruits decommitted and pretty much left PSU with their pants around their ankles and PSU hasn't been able to recover yet.

Not so sure about Purdue.  I kinda think they may have hit the jackpot for a few years.

Unless you are a team with a pedigree to recruit top flight athletes year in and year out I think that recruiting can be very cyclical.

In the last ten years Nebraska has only had 1 losing season, not sure what Purdue or PSU has had.  So is that a reflection of Yori's staff and recruiting? I realize that Nebraska could be in the same boat that Purdue and PSU are in this year with the experience they are going to lose this year.  Thoughts or what do you guys think on this?

If it were not for the addition Shepard coming in next year (assuming she recovers)..it might well be a tough year.... and obviously because of the graduations this year.

We'll be much different team...esentially Havers and Theriot with a lot of experience....then hope all this years freshman can improve a lot. ... but most will have good experience from this year. Will need more consistent scoring from next years sophmores. Looks like a pretty decent group for next year though. One of the keys may be our inside rebounding group.

The two other newbies next year will need to get up to speed ASAP. But as seen this year...the transition to B1G is a big jump over HS. Not as fast or quick next year probably either. Three shooting ???

But it's still very possible we'll have a winning record. ....we have an experienced staff to put it all together.
