Post Game Chatter: ed 7, vol 21 - Minnesota Edition

- Slow start by both teams. Nebraska did relatively well on the offensive boards and grabbed more than a poor rebounding Gopher team.

- Mo Walker made 6 of their first 7 points. He didn't stop on his way to a game high 19 points to go along with a game high 8 rebounds

- Huskers started turning the ball over fast and furiously with the majority of their 20 coming in the first half. Shavon led the team with 6 and appeared rattled most of the first half.

- Terran only took 8 shots in this game. He sat some at the end of the 1st half with foul trouble as he picked up 2 during the last 7:54 of the half where we didn't make a basket.

With 9:31 left we had the game back down to 4 points. An And-1 by Mo Walker + 2 Huskers turnover brought the game back to 10. Huskers spent the last 9 minutes of the game jacking 3s and turning the ball over. They were outscored 19-7 in that time.

- Team looked like it played harder. An underperforming Minnesota team has more talent than a short handed Michigan team though.

The way that game began & ended was simply brutal. The middle portion of the game wasn't terrible. So, there's that...

I had to get rid of my previous avatar as soon as possible. We played like the Bad News Bears yesterday. By the way, this Walter appears at UNL this week in person. Maybe he will inspire the team. I hope so.

Turned the ball over like crazy, shot it bad, weren't getting bounces or calls....yet right there with 2 something to go. Fight left in this team. Go get 'em men and don't give up.

6 losses for MN in one or two possession games..ouch. Somebody else coming to town feels the same way. Gotta find a way to hand NW another "L".
