Cincinati pulled it off -- 71 to 62 in one overtime.

 

 

And, The Incarnate Word defeated the Grand Canyon, the 7th natural wonder of the world, with a miraculous comeback...

Here is some other FYI under-performance news: our good buddies from Northwestern lost to Central Michigan last night by 80-67. Ouch.

And here is some under-performance info that history says should be in another thread on another HHC board (my advance apologies to the enforcers on this), the four-and-five-star-spangled UNLV team made a stirring comeback in overtime to topple Portland 75-73, in which our former recruit, Jordan Cornish, played 7 minutes with 0 points, 1 assist, 1 turnover and 1 foul.

So, at least we have some company for our under-performance losses so far.

Saw that Cronin has been diagnosed with an brain aneurysm, and sat out yesterday's UC loss to San Diego St. Fortunately doctors caught it before it ruptured. He won't be coaching for a while. Pretty scary. I think he's in his mid-40s.

It is a very good thing that they caught it, or a crowd of thousands may have watched a guy die on the floor.
