For those who may be out of the loop, Nebraska plays BYU in the regional finals tonight (ESPNU at 10:30 CST)! They took down #3 Washington in their own arena last night (who hasn't lost a game there since 2013). A win tonight would put them into the Final Four!

 

This may be the youngest team in program history, but it sure is a fun ride thus far!

This Husker team reminds me of the 2008 team--one that lost quite a few matches in the season, and was perceived to have less talent than previous outfits.  But it really shows how much team chemistry can change the equation!

Yes, that was an unbelievable effort last night.  11 Elite 8s in the last 14 years.  Without a true "go to" player, we have to do it as a team, and it has been difficult to get multiple players playing well at the same time.  But last night it all clicked.  Strong play out of everyone in the game.  We even got a couple of favorable calls.

BYU has that 6'7 giant playing for them, who last spring helped eliminate Connie Yori's team from getting back to Lincoln for the Sweet 16.

 

She had 30 kills last night.

Nebraska may have 9 losses on the year, but they also have played the most difficult schedule. I'd venture to guess that this team is better prepared for the post-season than any team out there. Hopefully the middles have another great night for Big Red!!
