Also I found of great interest was a couple comments by KG23. She's WNBL final MVP two years running now and says that her WNBL contract is "significantly greater than her WNBA salary, plus she has a sponsorship with Peak Sport Australia, which wants her to help design a shoe when she returns."  

 

"Hopefully they’ll have a Kelsey Griffin shoe, fans love my red shoes, so I know they’ll be red."

 

 The red shoes are a holdover from her days at Nebraska, where she was the Big 12 Player of the Year in 2010.

I didn't realize Kelsey Griffin is out for the whole season. Had surgery on May 30th. Was hoping to watch a few games of her this year!!!

She was also waived the same day she went the injured list.

Fortunately she'll be paid since she was injured during a Sun preseason game.
