How do you go for 23 vs an opponent and 365 days later not score a single point. Something is seriously wrong.... I'm not gonna make any accusations but it's flat out puzzling

 

Groce & Company had a week to draw up how they would shut down our team. You can do a lot in a week without disruptions.

 

Could you have reminded me of this last night?

How can we put this loss even close to Rey.  Our 3 best scorers went 8 - 31 from the floor, and 2 - 10 from 3.  They scored a combined 23 points.  They had 47 % of our points despite taking 69 % of our shots.  It's pretty easy to see why we lost this game.

 

Because Illinois made 9 threes, shot 12 more FTs than NU & had 11 offensive rebounds that led to a 16-5 advantage in 2nd chance points...

 

They made a plethora of 3s didn't they!  As for the FTs it is in part (big in my opinion) to the fact they took the ball to the rim and didn't settle all not for long jump shots.

Not only that, colhusker, but Ray Rice was hitting them from about Peoria there for a minute.  I was just astounded.  He was like ah, eff it, let's just jack up another 30-footer.

 

Couldn't miss.
