Trying to decide on who to root for in the games being played today.

Purdue vs. Michigan  I think I'll cheer for Purdue if they beat Michigan that would put both of them 2 games behind the Huskers.

 

I guess the PSU vs. OSU game is a no brainer. A win by OSU would put the Huskers a 1/2 game behind PSU for first place.

 

 Illinois vs. Minny I think I have to go with Minny in this one as I think the style of play Illinois is thug ball.

 

Northwestern vs. Iowa  I got to go with the Wildcats. The more Iowa loses the better and it would put the Hawkeyes 2 games behind.

Purdue beat Michigan 65 - 56  So that bumps Purdue up a spot and tied with Michigan for fifth.

How does McDonald's AA Chatrice White end up committing to 9-14 bottom feeder Illinois?

 

Interesting question, Normie.  All about timing.  When the commitments were made, Illinois had a decent 1st year under its new coach.  And the perception that hope reigns.  Life is about timing.  Would we have gotten Gesell if Miles was in his first year?  Despite finishing last 2 out of 3 years prior?  Personally, I think yes.  Doc was too far on the other side by the time of Gesell's recruitment, and it wasn't clear he would make it. 

 

Interesting that the Illini coach likes Nebraska players.  He recruited Sadie Murren to Wisc. Green Bay, and now 2 players to Illinois.

I guess we will find out in a couple of years if that works out for her. He also got a commit from a player in my back yard, of Minden in the Kissinger girl.That looks like a better commit than the White girl but that is my take on it.

I had heard that she really kind of wanted to go out of state, but there might be more to it.  I have a family member that has coached against her and said she is much stronger this year, but for the most part, the competition is pretty limited.

There's another Kissinger girl from Minden besides the two twins. She's a 6' freshman this year and from what I've heard Illinois has already offered her a scholarship.
