BTP Team of the Week, Jan 20th-26th: Cream of the Crop

"Petteway makes his first appearance in Team of the Week this season, and it's quite a debut - the Texas Tech transfer's 35-point outing against Minnesota was rewarded by our voters with a co-Player of the Week nod. I'm struggling to think of a more impressive individual performance than 35/6 reb/3 ast on 10-15 shooting in 31 minutes since B1G play began, so this selection is well earned. Petteway and the Huskers have been a tough out at worst in their new home arena, so let this be a warning to the rest of the B1G - don't take Big Red lightly."

Week 13 B1G Power Rankings - Wolverines Not Unanimous #1

"#9 - Nebraska (Average - 9.1)

The Cornhuskers continue to rise and are now the highest they have appeared on this list all season.  Nebraska continues to play very strong at home and knocking off a win against Minnesota was huge.  They still are just 2-5 in conference play, but get a prime opportunity with Indiana at home this week."

Big Ten Weekly Rankings: The Muddled Middle edition

http://www.crimsonquarry.com/2014/1/28/5355972/big-ten-weekly-rankings-the-muddled-middle-edition

"11. Nebraska (10-9, 2-5) W v Ohio State 68-62 , L @ PSU 54-58, W v Minnesota 78-82,

The Huskers prolonged the misery of the Buckeyes for their first win, but failed to build any momentum. However, they redeemed themselves after losing at Penn State  with a nice win over Minnesota. Sophomore Terran Pettaway went off for 35 points in the win, and went ahead and stuffed the box score with 6 rebounds, 3 assists, and a block and a steal. The Big Ten should consider itself notified, Petteway is one to watch. I'm not ready to boost them up too far, now thaTim Miles kicked Deverell Biggs off the team. It might be a necessary or a good move in the long run, but Nebraska didn't have a deep backcourt before Biggs got the boot."
