Race Bannon Posted May 14, 2013 Report Posted May 14, 2013 What is with Pitt? Seems like every recruit we are on, Pitt is also on the list. Are we targeting the exact same type of player or is there some connection other than that Jamie Dixon was rumored to be a candidate for our job last year? Kanter, Uchebo, Tummala, and I'm pretty sure Webster had Pitt on his list. Stevie P getting his revenge Silverbacked1 1 Quote

Cookie Belcher Posted May 14, 2013 Report Posted May 14, 2013 Is he as big of an Undertaker fan as his brother? Quote
Norm Peterson Posted May 14, 2013 Report Posted May 14, 2013 Why did he reclassify from a '14 to a '13? I know why Wiggins did it, but why did this kid? no clue. The list of guys that moved up is a list of 5 star studs in Vonleh, Selden, Wiggins, and then there is this guy. My guess is inflated dreams of being anything close to his brothers abilities and thinks he can get to the NBA sooner. Well, if that's his thought process, then it benefits him to eschew "name" schools in favor of a decent place in a decent conference where he can find immediate playing time at his position. Hmmmm. Where might a place like that be? Quote
Norm Peterson Posted May 14, 2013 Report Posted May 14, 2013 Recent vid. I like this kid more than the kid from Finland who visited last week. I hate the way this video was put together. Vast majority of the highlights are about half-second snippets -- way too short -- that don't give you a real good idea of the kid's skill. From what you can see, though, it does look like he has some ability. In some of the longer segments, he does some good things. Shows the ability to put the ball on the floor and take it strong. Per his Rivals profile, he's the same height as Tummala and only about 10 pounds heavier. I thought Tummala looked significantly more skilled. This guy does one drop step into a lefty hook in the low blocks and they cut a little part out of it and played it several times for emphasis. Tummala did the same move several times in a single game from the video that we had on his thread. It appears Kerem has decent touch but his stroke isn't great and he doesn't get much elevation on his jumper. Sigh. If I had my choice, I'd take Tummala over this kid. But I don't get my choice. Not even remotely. So, I'll go with CWG and say "In Tim I trust." Nebrasketballer 1 Quote
FredsSlacks Posted May 14, 2013 Report Posted May 14, 2013 I suppose we should wait for Robin or Brian to tweet something about this kid before we end up at 30 pages. Silverbacked1 1 Quote
Norm Peterson Posted May 14, 2013 Report Posted May 14, 2013 and his brother Ooooh. I LIKE the brother. Let's recruit him! In other words, why did you show me the new Ferrari when I can only afford a Chevy? Quote
Silverbacked1 Posted May 14, 2013 Report Posted May 14, 2013 He would be a 4 year player correct? Or would he try to be a one and done? Quote
Donkey Posted May 14, 2013 Report Posted May 14, 2013 He would be a 4 year player correct? Or would he try to be a one and done? Considering that his father wanted Enes to go to school and get an education, I doubt Kerem is a one-and-done guy. http://aol.sportingnews.com/ncaa-basketball/feed/2010-09/enes-kanter/story/enes-kanters-father-says-turkish-club-is-trying-to-make-an-example-of-his-son Quote

hhcmatt Posted May 15, 2013 Report Posted May 15, 2013 Is this guy good enough to be a one and done? It certainly doesn't sound like a problem we need to be worried about. Quote
