Husker22 Posted February 27, 2021 Report Posted February 27, 2021 MInnesota had positive tests today, since we just played them that could be why this is cancelled. mwm89 1 Quote
mwm89 Posted February 27, 2021 Report Posted February 27, 2021 Naturally a home game gets cancelled. Quote

HUD Posted February 27, 2021 Report Posted February 27, 2021 Could it possibly be that Michigan St really didn't want to play us. They lost to us at home. Don't match up well. It's senior day which is always big. They have a couple of players hurt. Are tied with us in standings. Have never faired very well in games at Lincoln. Suzy Merchant who has never been one of my favorites now drops to the bottom of the barrel. 12dozen 1 Quote
Red Don Posted February 27, 2021 Report Posted February 27, 2021 Well, they must have already travelled and in Lincoln since it's a last second announcement. The next game for each team is in one week, next Saturday, 3/6. There should be an opportunity to reschedule if both teams are willing. mwm89 1 Quote

Quote “We will move forward and hopefully have a chance to reschedule our game with Michigan State, but if not, we will get ready for our final regular-season game at Iowa on Saturday.” mwm89 1 Quote
HUD Posted February 28, 2021 Report Posted February 28, 2021 With both teams testing negative not playing sounds pretty fishy to me. Feel bad for the players, their families and the coaches. Maybe they will show up at the Iowa game pissed off. mwm89 1 Quote
All About the Corn Posted March 1, 2021 Report Posted March 1, 2021 I would think both called it off after confirming with the B1G. Considering MN has cases and we just played them. MSU has their VB and Gymnastics shutdown due to CV so they maybe thinking it is a bigger problem. Just the times we are in. What will be interesting to see come B1G, NCAA, WNIT tourneys when a team gets CV. Would think you just have to move on if possible. Could be some teams move on that may not normally do so. Quote
