33 games on BTN or BTN+ last season, that's not even including the NET/ESPN games. I see a total of 3 scheduled for TV this year. Cool decision combined with no fans. Love this conf.

Looks like this season will be like the first two weeks of play for the rest of the country.... other teams playing on TV while we sit back and can't watch our team.  RIDICULOUS!

I emailed BTN and Nebraska to see if this is the case. I'm not gonna be happy if they decided to not allow fans AND cut our televised games to 5% of what they televised last year. I'm guessing BTN+ will have them but we will see.

Hroch and Povich seem like locks for the rotation. Any ideas on the other two spots? Shay, Schwelly, Kissack, Schriber, Wynne seem to all be bullpen guys. I'd think the other two starters will come from the Bragg, Bunz, Frank group. To go on record, I'll take a stab and go 1. Povich, 2. Hroch, 3. Bragg, 4. Frank. Frank gets the nod as he doesn't walk a lot of guys and proved he could go deep into games in JUCO.

Is perry still on the mend?

Could be-- but I do feel that we have a team that could "out-hit" the pitching woes when needed this year.

Exactly what the Baseball America guys said. They were low on our pitching and high our our hitting. I think Hroch and Povich are pretty decent top end guys. If we find one more decent arm and a serviceable pen - no reason to think we would be outside the top 4.

Yes, Perry is no go

Today's article suggest that there is a chance that Perry could be available sometime during the season.   I've heard that's a long shot, but who knows.

Wish I didn't go on record earlier. First two were Locks. Bunz got it done at JUCO. Shay surprises me - probably because Erstad and Silva tried to convert our best relief pitcher to a starter every year and it always flamed out terribly.

Shay pitched well last summer in Hastings.

Yeah I was just reading about that. Glad he handled being stretched out as a starter. Makes me feel better already. I feared Luensmann, Alvarado, Howell type issues.

He threw a no hitter last summer.

I had heard around Hastings that Shay had hurt his arm after the no hitter. but nothing came of it. I know a guy that is good friends with Shay's dad who sells insurance in Hastings.
