OT: Kansas fires their Athletic Director

Since it's the offseason and things have been very slow, I thought I'd post this here:

Not terribly relevant to the Huskers, but interesting news nonetheless.  KU fans have been calling for this to happen for a few years now.  I'd imagine they'll likely be looking for a new head football coach too before the end of the year.

He's the one who fired Turner after 2 seasons to hire Charlie Weis. Would have been interesting to see if Turner could have made it work if he'd been given more time. He's done pretty well at Liberty, which is moving up to D-1 FBS this year.

I think Turner is a good fit for Liberty.  If what I was told by a former KU player (not under Gill) is true, some of the rules Turner was trying to enforce will be much easier at Liberty.
