Well, Buddy went to OU and eschewed NU. But this quote sums up the work required for attaining greatness:

 

“What’s kind of neat is he has just put in so much time,” Sadler said. “You hear guys talk about doing it, but he’s definitely been a guy in four years that has put in hours and hours and hours.

“It’s neat to see guys willing to work instead of expecting it to be given to them.”

Pretty good article but fails to mention we were also recruiting Pinder from the same school in Wichita at the same time. Fact is, we failed to come up with any players for the time expended. Unfortunately this happened too often during the Doc years.

Pinder was a Harriman recruit so that's not the case
