Lol! The banked tracks are fun...but most of the teams can't afford them. I guess they cost around $30 thousand to build and then more to store and set up. The flat track has become more popular. They are actually just as fun.

This is just a totally random question....does anyone know if BTN is showing reruns of Football and Basketball games right now based on school or total randomness. I keep turning past the station hoping to see some Husker Hoops from last season (or any season), but have seen no sign of the Huskers in any way shape or form in a while on the station. ok...now to help support some good friends of mine. I don't know if any of you that live in Lincoln attend many non husker sport events...but this Saturday night at Pershing Lincoln's No Coast Derby Girls (currently ranked #25 in the world by the group that ranks derby teams) are going to be hosting the Denver Roller Dolls (currently ranked #2). No Coast is 13-0 this season beating their opponents by an average score of 200+ points. They normally draw between 1500 to 2000 people to Pershing and would love to sell this one out as it's the biggest bout in the 8 year history of the team. Don't know who....but I'm still waiting for them to make some huge Rock (Eagles don't count....just talking last 20 years) concert for the arena. We are up 3 (although one show is two acts) to none on country to rock. I know, while I'll probably go, it won't be any bands I really like. Most of the acts I listen to could pack a stadium in Europe but probably couldn't see out the Bourbon Theater on O street.

They're going to be 20" wide. My right butt cheek is in the isle most of the season due to having to make space for people. I'm thinking that the seats are closer to 10".

All I know is that the Gods of Rock are severely displease with the gifts that Pinnacle Bank Arena has presented them. Crossing fingers that some MAJOR league Rock Band is next on the list. although knowing the way this town works it will probably be a Debbie Gibson/Tiffany/NKOTB reunion tour concert.

I'm kind of shocked Rick Barnes isn't on that list. From what I've seen the texas fans are almost all wanting his head.

Rum is the great equalizer in that comparison. Oh c'mon. Who's ever heard of a "rum and Pepsi"? Who's ever heard of a Jack and Pepsi. Honestly Pepsi is too sweet to go with anything and taste good.

Look at how many people are on the court when it gets stormed. It's (sadly) pathetic. We need to work on garnering more students to the games. Different team...same school...but have you been to a women's game? Look at how they are doing this year. They have no student section on the floor or anywhere else. I think that the student support of basketball at the U is pretty pathetic in general. Guess it's slightly better than when I was going to the games back in the early 90's. You didn't necessarily have to be a student to sit in the student section. for a few years I sat next to a really nice family when I had seats down on the floor.

Being a coke drinker I agree. I have contacts with the local Coca Cola bottler. They said that from what they heard Pepsi is pretty much giving away their product to the University, they make next to nothing with pretty much all of the $ going to UNL. Coke said that they could not compete against that.

One thing I'm not sure if any of you are aware of...right after state boys tournament they HAVE to begin the big part of the construction at the Bob to get it ready for Volleyball. My dad knows the guy in charge and he said that construction had to actually start the day after the Minnesota game. If we make it to the NIT I wouldn't count on any games being played here. Just an FYI.

Not going to happen anytime soon but I'd find it funny if someday UNO was better than Creighton. Since they are in the University of Nebraska system, I'm more inclined to root for UNO over Creighton 100% of the time.

My girlfriend knew how much I loved my Husker basketball team. I looked up to the heavens with 4 minutes left on the clock and asked her to help any way she could. I even offered her one of my Twizzlers as those were her favorite candies.

What???? I thought we were allowed to take our seat home. Guess I'm heading back to the Bob.

Agree....again haters gonna hate. Although sometimes the haters that hate are kind of funny.

I thought it was pretty classy of them to announce last night that the tickets would be good for a free runza no matter what happened.

lol..and not to bring up a topic that we have brought up before numerous times on the board this one got a chuckle out of me....especially the last part of the statement. "For whoever said join the conference USA is crazy any any other sport we beat a lot of teams proud to be a husker look how many championships we have in football volleyball and other teams can say in big ten and how many make good money coming from nu in the pro grams every team would love to say that men's basketball is there weakness but u can't be good at every sport I have to admit I am a Creighton fan for men's basketball but everything else go husker nation"

That guy sat a couple rows in front of me the last few seasons. Every game he shouted at the fans that walked out early. Sometimes they would ignore him...but there's been a few times when the people around me would tell him to STFU.

Anyone complaining about the court storming doesn't have a clue. Period. "Anyone that stormed the court after this game tonight should be embarassed. Worst basketball game (by both teams) all year. I've seen better performance from beginner, grade school in-house basketball teams. Embarassing performance by both teams." "Storming the court? Are you kidding me?! Get out the big ten Nebraska. You don't deserve to be here" Those are just two of the comments. My response "Game was over...at that point the team we beat was a non issue...the fans celebrated 37 years at the Bob."

That's cool. I'm getting a chuckle over all the comments from the haters. Saying we still don't belong in the big 10 and that our win last night didn't mean anything to anyone but us. lol...and don't get me started on the comments about the court rushing. like the saying goes haters gonna hate. No matter what...I gotta say we went out with a bang at the Bob last night and that I was one of the fans that went even though I thought this would be a really really really nasty season. I'm very proud of the team and they way the season unfolded. lol...I still don't have a clue why people chose to leave early last night. WTH?
