He brought up our football I did not... I also didn't mention our past successes or lack there of... I would say he was "reading what he want's to read". I was comparing riley's overall results mostly with Oregon st to Miles overall. How are they much different?
-
So you are going with fine being oregon st of basketball... noted.
-
Serious question: Did you also want Riley to stay on as football coach? At this point of their careers how are Riley and Miles much different in their respective sports? - Both seem to be likable guys - good with media - colleagues respect them - both get some hyped players - get some decent wins at times or get on some runs - fall short on results at end of season Riley has a slightly better winning percentage career win percent than Miles. I will say Miles seems to have more passion to win that comes through. Or are we just the Oregon St of college basketball?

"If open"... this was my point the first guy takes when not open. Like the link to story I quoted they don't recognize/see the open guy, too many times they don't seem to know where to go with the ball after one pass, etc. I don't know all the x and o details but I can tell ours looks different than other teams - passing, spacing, off ball movement... and results unfortunately kinda speak for themselves.

The teams' mentality is weak because the teams' basketball IQ is weak. If you know ehat you are doing and prepared you are more confident. One ancedote has frustrated me for years we get a 2 on 1 break and instead of making extra pass and taking easy 2 the lead guy almost always takes it. 2 or 3 years ago miles should have realized he needed a consultant or assistant for teaching offense.

Heady wrote this back in October. I can't read today's article. This dude is a consultant. I would highly doubt he was a free consultant. This it says he was hired. https://www.starherald.com/sports/big_red_wrap/mens_basketball/we-re-still-building-that-culture-ex-navy-seal-helps/article_7e999771-0e29-525f-9615-9b8e7fd9626c.html

I think you: inquire about Gregg Marshall. Inquire about Steve Wojciechowski Talk to Nate Oats Talk to Hoiberg Watch Shaka at Texas goings on. ...and get it done somewhere there. All probably quite a bit of a reach, but if Kstate can land Weber (maybe inquire here too) and Martin recently, we can get good coaches too. Just need the "want to". Eventually people will stop showing up at pba if we don't get at least mid pack and a run every 3 years at least. So need to pay up I think...

Hope he's right but let's get in then win a game first, and then another...

Nebraska on the Selection Committee Board
Raidsker replied to hhctony's topic in The Haymarket Hardwood
It seems quadrants have been set up more to identify bad losses instead of good wins... And I want PSU to win out until we beat em! -
Nebraska on the Selection Committee Board

It is factoring them IN. Road games are harder to win. Q1 away goes all the way down to 75. Neutral is down to 50 and home stops at 30. So q4 is only 241+ road games it above each quadrant. What's crazy is smaller schools with high rpi... like Buffalo is 28. I don't know anything about them but can we pick them up for a road game quick? -

On quick glance I didn't see this on here already. The official team sheets are updated and available online. They are in one pdf file so I could attach the whole thing as it was over the size limit. Image of Nebraska is below. Paints a pretty stark picture. I would guess we want: UCF to stay Q2 so it doesn't become a lower level loss Michigan to move back up to Q1 Maybe root for Penn State to have a little run (they have OSU, MSU, Purdue on road and OSU at home still!) then we avenge our road loss at home... Need to keep wining no matter what happens! https://extra.ncaa.org/solutions/rpi/SitePages/Home.aspx -
"These match-ups won't always be geographic; we're going to do them based on competitive parity," Ackerman said. "We'll look at who are expected to be the strongest teams in each league and pair them against each other and sort of tier it, so we get the best match-ups." They sure are projecting a bounce back year for the Huskers!! http://espn.go.com/mens-college-basketball/story/_/id/10882667/big-east-big-ten-hold-challenge-series

It's crazy to hear the coach was telling them to live at the rim and that was how they came out in the first half. It was bombs away with nothing falling. If they are going in it doesn't matter one way or another but if they are not get to the lane!
