  1. I know I'm late toto the party but Wilcher got called for illegal screen and it was clearly the right call. However, I saw a Sparty player set a screen and when he rolled he just pretty much moved the husker defender all the way down the lane creating any easy scoring chance.
  2. Time for my "old man get off my lawn" thoughts. Raiola, Rhule and Tominaga parents get screen time and huge cheers. Why is 4* recruit John Bol not getting shown any love?
  3. I was worried after CJ did his heat check 3 and Breidenbach missed a 3 that it was going to lead to Husker demise.
  4. Going to comment on couple things I saw in game thread. 1. Why the hell is the Rutgers AD patting CJ on the back to start 2nd half? Anyone not associated within the team should never touch a player unless player approaches them. And even if player does approach a fan he's facing a technical because of celebration of or retaliation of some sort. 2. Sam Hoiberg is fun to watch. When he was getting minutes during mop up duty I wasnt impressed with him. But man now that he is getting important minutes he's showing he belongs. And guessing early on he knew he was only playing in blow outs so he didn't prepare as hard but now that he's playing meaningful minutes he's into the game mentally and has a typical "coaches kid" mentality. 3. Does this husker team remind anyone else of a city league/town team type team. Walker and Greisel play like the 38 year old guys that just know the game and frustrate the 22 year old former all stater with their smarts, positioning and humility. Keisei is the guy that is super hyper and won't quit running. However those guys usually can't shoot in the rec league. Lawrence is the guy you can't figure out because he doesn't appear to be doing that much but is just a "steady eddie" type. Wilcher is the guy you guard at start but if he misses his 1st couple you let him shoot til he makes couple in a row. Hoiberg is the guy who doesn't look like he will beat you. But a basket here, a rebound there then a steal and maybe an assist and you're calling him names. Breidenbach is the guy that shows up late and has 2 different socks and elastic is shot in one of them so it's around his ankles. You also hope you get to guard him but then he "careers" you and your friends bring it up even at the mention of his name.
  5. Only got to listen to last 12 minutes and OT. Kent is hopefully celebrating and not in an ER somewhere. His passion for this program is unmatched. Jake was also great with his comments. On a side note can the refs hear them because both KP and Jake were very forthcoming in some of the calls? And couldn't help but make a trip to Buckyville message board to see Wisky fans reactions. For a team that has gotten the benefit of more flop calls than anyone over the years they didn't seem to like the Huskers getting away with it. Didn't see any of the game so can't comment one way or the other. And they also didn't like all moving screens NU got away with. Would like to tell them it's karma for all the sh** Brad Davison got away with over his 16 year career as a badger.
  6. San is three in Japanese. I think PA guy at PBA should say that everytime KT makes one.
  7. I will admit I was completely wrong on KT. I thought he would have his moments but didn't think he could do it on the level he is doing it now. Hope he continues to rub my face in his success.
  8. Only negative is DJ Carstenesen, Larry Scirotto, Lamont Simpson, Teddy Valentine, Chris Beaver, Kelly Pfeiefer, Bo Borowski, Don Daley, Mike & Tom Eades, Kipp Kissinger, Steve McJunkins, Brooks Wells, Scott Thornley, Terry Wymer & others preventing you from getting fair shake. I know blaming refs is "sour grapes" but the inconsistency that the guys mentioned along with others I have missed is truly remarkable. When a ref gets booed when making a call against a visiting team at PBA he really needs to re-evaluate how good of job he is doing.
  9. Bando gets raked on the drive no call and PSU 3/3 on 3's. Long day ahead
  10. And that's where Walker needs to understand the situation and poor officiating for the game. Like you said it was obvious and either the refs were on the take or just absolutely had it in for the huskers.
  11. The worst part about the flop calls against bigs is they allow them to bump each other 3+ times and then when defender realizes he has been moved deep and offensive guy has close range shot he hits the deck.
