Something interesting that’s setting up is that we probably have a 75% chance of being the four or 5 seed in the B1G tournament and will play Michigan if one of us wins the 5 vs 12 match-up. This will give us a chance to get that big win everyone’s talking about even if we go 4-2 that win still gets us in IMO and if we’re 6-0 that loss won’t matter too much

Yeah but it’s true. You know who didn’t suck when we played them? Ethan Happ! Why? Because Bo Ryan! If Gard had more players like him (which he did in previous years due to Ryan) of course he went to the sweet 16. Also who care what his coaching ability is if he’s going to have bad players. I just don’t see anything telling me he can recruit from their team this year. But maybe I’m wrong and they’re like our team last year.

This year is not like the last time we went to the tournament. Miles got CotY that year right? That year he had quickly turned around the program this year is his 7th season. Or 6th idk.

I am worried about offensive rebounds they are killed Minny with them right now and if we go 1-3-1 I just don’t trust Cope to rebound well enough.

We haven’t so far we are 1-5 on the road our offense hasn’t traveled very well

We are only 1-5 on the road this year we need to start winning these 50-75 rip road games espiacally because those are weighted the same as top 25 home games

Even over the course of a full season + -is inaccurate I listen to an nba podcast that does a lot with advanced analytics and while it makes me want to have them for the college game they say that almost all of them are flawed basically under 50 games.

I am actually concerned about this. It has been a pattern that I feel like has happened in a few other games this year. I’m concerned his hands are to small to easily palm the basketball. It is a way bigger deal than most people realize especially when trying to dunk. From gathering the ball to keeping it while you’re going up to finishing through contact it matters. That said I may be wrong and he could have massive hands. Who knows

Copeland is a horrible rebounder. Especially horrible on defensive rebounds. And when we play small in man or 1-3-1 he he’s in the paint on defensive it just ends badly so often

Kenpom is actually a consistent top 10 even top 5 when we play HTCC which is obviously a game where we compete to predict scores so it actually does a pretty good job. But the problem is it is not a ranking system that reflects the committee bc it doesn’t use the same criteria. Not even close to the same criteria. And this year we happen to be an outlier in the system
