  1. I’m assuming that if we play St. John’s again the first one is the one that counts right? Either way I would love to play them again if we get to the 1st place or 3rd place game as I feel that going 1 & 1 or 2 & 0 without risking another loss. And if the 2nd game replaces the 1st then obviously I would love a nothing to loss chance at redemption.
  2. IMHO Allen should have played 25 minutes tonight. He was a scorer who could shoot the three which we desperately needed tonight and was having no problems guarding their tiny point guard. Also I think James Palmer had an off night because he wasn’t getting fouls on the drive which discouraged him from attacking as the game progressed. If I remember correctly he had a lot of points off free throws in previous games (definitely unsure though) and he didn’t get those tonight. We were also very lucky number 25 their big man fouled out he looked very good but only played 11 minutes. Overall I don’t really care how close it was other than I really thought we were going to lose. I think this team will be a top 150 team and maybe a conference champ tourney team if their conference is really bad. But who really knows
  3. It also explains how Palmer had 23 with only 1 three. When there are no big guys it becomes very easy to attack the lane. On another note I was interested to see Allen scored 7 without hitting a three. That seems encouraging especially since we know he was playing meaningful minutes; according to the newspaper article.
  4. He did take an unofficial to gtown but I really like our chances. Apparently he was another one of those kids who thought we went into our backyard to pick corn for breakfast. If we were a leader before he saw the light I can see why he would just commit now. Please
  5. Apparently wanted to move home. Missouri State looks like the favorite right now.
  6. Ohhhh that clears things up with this post being the first on this page I definitely thought was confused and thought you were saying he had committed to iowa state. I very much hope that tomorrow he chooses not to do so.
  7. Do you have inside information because I can't find anything on twitter that would confirm this?
  8. In my opinion the stadium really didn't empty out. At least not very noticeably. I was also actually surprised at how many people (especially students) there were. I don't think it was much different than any other game vs a bad non-con opponent even though we are having a bad year and obviously lost.
  9. Okay thanks I was thinking of the other two guys you mentioned.
  10. He's still coming here for his official this week right? If so I continue to like our chances.
  11. That would be for the Northern Illinois game which starts at 11 am. Wouldn't be my first choice of a game but it should still blow him away when he sees the game atmosphere and even more important, the facilities.
  12. Wow that's pretty crazy and I think it may be time for us to end talking about red shirting once and for all. Interesting even that was 3 years ago right?
  13. You're probably right when was the last time we actually had a guy redshirt and stay all four years anyway
  14. I just watched a 4 minute highlight video of him and here are my thoughts. 1. He is a good ball handler seems to always be in control of the ball. 2. He has a good behind the back dribble move which again shows good ball control. But, I am just imagining him in a big ten game where the other team has scouted his only move and steals it twice in a row, Miles sits him for the rest of the game, exc. 3. He doesn't seem to be too athletic but knows how to get to the rim and will dunk it if he can. Also seems to be more quick than he is a great jumper as far as athletisism goes. I'm excited to get another guy on the roster he has great size especially for a ball handler. Hopefully he can use that to his advantage on defense but at this point his ability on defense is a total mystery to me. His chance of red shirting will be heavily affected by Isaac Copelands eligibility in my opinion. Unless he's just ready to contribute either way which is hopefully the case.
  15. Looks like he's very young bet he passes the Tim Miles leg hair test
  16. This has prompted me to use kenpom in my bracket.
