michigan and huskers aren't too far apart in most stats except for defensive rebounds and 3pt% defense. gonna need at least a decent night shooting because odds are they might not get too many second chances. haiby getting to the basket could be key---whether she finishes or is able to dish off (for the open look).
-
nice find, bugs!!! thanks!

check out Big Ten stats. huskers pretty scarce in the categories. i believe TK is only one at or near the leaders (3pt %). Abi Scheid of NW is 31st in scoring at 11.1 ppg---no husker in this category. FT % Haiby 15th @ 71.8%. Rebounding---Cain 14th 7rpg and Verbeek 16th with 6.6 rpg. hoping things change.

MERRY CHRISTMAS !!!!!! to you all, and your families

thanks and Merry Christmas to all! -
won't surprise me to see huskers right there in most of their games---more often than not, i just see them being on the wrong end this season. what could change things is if coach gets consistency out of simon and whitish. it might put them in the middle of the pack if not a slot or so above---and i DO mean both. not just one or the other. need both. sorry, noah121. you could very well be right about northwestern. i had to pick someone, ??

now that it has arrived, here is my guess how the standings shake out: Indiana is my "surprise" pick to finish high 1. Maryland 2. MSU 3. Indiana 4. Minnesota 5. Iowa 6. Michigan 7. Purdue 8. Ohio State 9. Rutgers 10. Penn State 11. Nebraska 12. Illinois 13. Wisconsin 14. Northwestern

just a little info on Sagarin/CBN rpi ratings---i shot them off a message asking if they would be continuing the ratings for thew bb 2018-19 season. they informed me that the ratings for the women would no longer be available. here's another site to check out if it interests anyone: warrennolan.com has rpi ratings for both men and women
-
thanks bugs, for answering Red Don---just jumped back on. i noticed Sagarin had an up-to-date men's rpi on ESPN, but, didn't see anything for wbb.
-
i happen to notice prospectsnation.com listed lauren ware #13 (century hs/bismarck, nd) wonder if coaching staff has contacted her to see if there might be some interest?
-
realtime rpi has huskers sitting at 174 as of 12/3/2018

Drake (0-0) vs. Nebraska (0-0) Game Thread
whoopdeedoo replied to Bugeaters1's topic in Row 6 Seat 10
free throw % was encouraging (76.5). points off to's not so much (24-14). coach didn't sound too pleased with drake's 19 offensive rebounds. listened to game on radio with matt and jeff. they sounded so frustrated with that second quarter---and number of empty possessions in the game. didn't sound like simon played very well. some things to work on. next up. -

i think if you look at some of Grace Mitchell's photos over the years, her physique is more "defined" than many females---and that's not a bad thing, Grace! ? sure, it's most likely improved somewhat since joining the huskers. hoping she can give the huskers some quality minutes this season!
-
even with Wagner gone, i think minny should cause some real headaches. all you have to say is "Kenisha Bell". https://www.twincities.com/2018/10/01/lindsay-whalen-settling-in-as-gophers-womens-basketball-coach/

in case you are interested, coach williams scheduled to be on Sports Nightly tonight at 7:40pm.

something to read until some husker news breaks loose...? https://www.michigandaily.com/section/sports/heres-what-every-michigan-coach-making-year
-
well, ok------i'll ask. when do practices start? think'n only a couple-three weeks away?
-
listened to matt and greg on sports nightly. i would have to agree with them---not going to "sneak up" on anybody this season. tough 4 games in the first two weeks of big ten. greg stated would be happy to get a win out of the first 4 games and really be happy if they can go 2-2. matt didn't really argue with him.

double that--------imo, maryland has that "program changer" coming in this season. odds she will be a huge addition and make immediate impact. also, commits for 2019: hoopgurlz #3 Ashley Owusu 5'9" point guard from Va #20 Diamond Miller 6'1" guard from NJ #37 Zoe Young 5'10" guard from Iowa

"Tsipis kicks off his third season at Wisconsin in 2018-19, returning four starters and nine letterwinners. UW will return nearly 74 percent of its points (1,343 of 1,819) and more than 76 percent (820 of 1,073) of its rebounds this season. Marsha Howard earned honorable mention All-Big Ten honors last season after leading the Badgers with 6.9 rebounds per game while ranking second with 12.4 points per game.Tsipis also welcomes in one of the best freshmen classes in UW history, including three top-100 players. The Badgers bring in Carmen Backes, a 6-1 wing from Lindstrom, Minnesota; Jasmine Hale, a 5-9 wing from Cincinnati, Ohio; Diamond Bragg, a 5-9 guard from Camp Hill, Pennsylvania; Imani Lewis, a 6-1 forward from Willingboro, New Jersey; and Maia Caito, a 6-4 post from Cranston, Rhode Island."
