skipping BTT, tell ya' , iowa is playing really well. won't be a surprise if they make a run in the NCAA's. of course, much depends on the draw, but, iowa has potential to go deep. much might depend on whether stewart can keep a consistent game.

don't know how it won't be a completely different iowa game. no idea of their recruits.

Rutgers imploding? in the past week, two players have been dismissed (Caitlin Jenkins and Ciani Cryor), a transfer player’s past arrests (Alexis Morris) have been reported and Hall of Famer, C Vivian Stringer, took a leave of absence. probably be ok (in the long run), but, can be consequences when you accept "high risk" players.

plans on having a sit down with coach williams in the near future---so, might want to keep an eye out for that. not sure if he meant before BTT or after the season. talked about Maddie. says she is a wonderful person and thinks she will be a good coach someday. felt bad her season was up and down. told Mik'l he would really enjoy an interview with her. Sam really likes haiby's game. thought coach williams believes she should have done a few things different----didn't elaborate---sounds like the questions will be in the interview. also thought coach williams believed they would have a better season---reaching at least 17 wins. have heard Sam state this before, but, he is really high on the gal from australia. if i heard him correctly, could be a 14-15 player. i'm assuming he means points next season? thinks the australian type of basketball---playing against others that are 3-4 years older than her along with national play is invaluable. Mik'l said watching some of her video is pretty impressive. she was the only new recruit mentioned. wish they would have shifted to wbb earlier and had a little more discussion, but.... sam still thinks they are going to be really good next season.

Austin made big strides since i watched her during the first part of the season. especially on the offensive end. Thome (um) and Allen (msu) are seniors. Hillmon (fr) from michigan will be a handful for anyone during her career. i still think the huskers need to find that offensive threat---one that is a consistent threat to score around 16-20+ a game every time she steps on the court---instead of "hoping" someone is gonna have a great game and drop a bunch. it makes every one better. right now, maybe haiby? brown? potential could be there. if verbeek can limit the fouls, she is going to give coach a real good all around game, but, don't see her being a big scorer game in and game out. i can see huskers being really young at times on the court next season. have to see what the new recruits bring. at times, i can see huskers having a mix of 1st and 2nd year players during stretches.

close out on defense much better than huskers do. to be fair to the huskers---who has stopped gusty?---but, you would like to try and make her go right. no doubt, iowa was hot tonight---and not just gusty. i was hoping brown might try driving more and try getting to the line instead of just settling for the jumper. three seniors on iowa, gusty, stewart, and davis is a 6th year senior. gonna be a different team next year. huskers better be ready for penn st. i don't think that will be an easy game on their senior day.

(Big Ten) Women's Sports Report: of the teams sitting at 8-8 (MSU, Minny, Purdue, Nebraska, NW) they give Minny the best shot at winning out (2 games-@Rutgers, home against MSU). Why?....stated that Minny is now the team playing the best ball on both ends of the court. Also, their preview of the Iowa game: for iowa, 3pt defense against nebraska will be the key. For huskers, if they can hold gusty under 30, it could give huskers a shot at pulling the upset.

playing with mred's bracket generator, it looks very favorable for the huskers to receive anywhere from the 5th seed to 7th seed. i believe if the huskers win out, that would pretty much guarantee the 5th seed (and, that puts them in maryland's bracket---6 or 7 seed would be very interesting if the huskers play well in the BTT). with that 6 or 7 seed, it wouldn't shock me if they made it to the BT championship game. i believe huskers could still end up with that 5th seed even if they split the last two games. will depend on other outcomes. lose both and you will end up in maryland's bracket. minnesota appears to be the team to watch for husker fans. if minny should beat rutgers and lose to michigan state, that would give the huskers a 6th seed (should huskers split last 2). no matter what, it seems the minny-msu game will be the one to watch as far as being in the "1" or "2" bracket (like i stated, unless huskers win last 2). i also think it would be advantageous if msu loses at least one of their last 3, but, win the game against minny.

i was going to post earlier: for all the "heat" maddie has taken from some of us fans at times, i was really hoping she could put it together and finish out her senior year strong. best of luck the rest of the way, maddie! i hope she can keep it up.
