  1. that yori!!!!!!!
  2. hey, i figured, she got it. she earned it. case closed.
  3. never crossed my mind. go maddie!
  4. ?????
  5. no doubt. got a bit of an attitude! that's always been logic mojo. i did think husker 'd' would be a little better.
  6. imagine the score if huskers cut those turnovers in half. i'm not so sure playing a second game really hurts you too much. i believe where you start to see it is in any following games. been playing a long time now. pretty well conditioned to play two nights in a row. jmo.
  7. sorry. i heard matt say the team wore the throwbacks against Utah. not sure where i was. anyway, i think they are pretty slick. can't believe they have to win tourney to get to ncaa's
  8. coach yori will be preaching NOT to let up on the pedal!!! just keep doing what your doing! sometimes their ball movement really puts a smile on my face!
  9. before romeo leaves nu, i predict she will break big red single game record for 3's. sometimes simplicity is all class! re: uni's
  10. got a glance at the uni's for tonight---kinda like'em! let's break them in the right way!!! GBR!
  11. the only guarantee husker fans have come to realize is, these seniors will not go down without a fight. won't surprise me if they beat illinois---and, it wouldn't surprise me if illinois pulls out a win. can say that for each game except for an osu matchup---too much firepower there. i'll be watching and rooting for Big Red!!!
  12. with the "hit" Big Red took this year and next, gonna need that "surprise". i think more B1G teams will show improvement than not next season.
  13. No doubt, NW will be very good also. i'd have to check stats, but, don't think kelley really picked up her play till just recently. at least i didn't hear much about her till lately. going into next year, i'll still stick with minny at 3rd. should have a fantastic inside/out game. just a little sidenote: i noticed Directv has WatchEspn now, so, was checking it out on my phone. looked in on the start of the Iowa State vs Kansas women's game. Iowa State started no one above 5' 11". didn't think i would see a DI team that didn't start someone at least 6' anymore.
  14. imo, the thing OSU has over Iowa is defense. the Iowa games i watched on BTN this year, offense was good, but not impressed with their defense.
  15. crap. deep down, i was afraid of this. pretty impressive to smack someone like that on their home court. too big of a talent difference. quick, good ball handlers, and the biggest difference, they can score. i was watching the earlier games and the commentator said she asked Brenda Frese, "what she looks for in recruits, character.........." Frese told her "scorers". for the most part, i guess every coach wants those, it's just getting them to commit. "Location, location, location" doesn't hurt either. i know in an earlier post, i gave my top 3 for going into next year---had Maryland on top, then minny, and OSU. i think it would be wise to flip minny and OSU. man, OSU will be tough for awhile. just like Maryland. i do still think minny will have a chance to be pretty darn good with one caveat---as long as Banham returns as good as she was before the injury.
  16. from OSU's perspective: http://www.ohiostatebuckeyes.com/sports/w-baskbl/spec-rel/022815aab.html
  17. http://www.omaha.com/huskers/nu-seniors-one-for-all-all-four-won/article_9c9a05cc-cb56-5613-bf75-d8068f1dc72f.html the final comments in the article ring so true. will be hard to top the chemistry these gals developed. they worked pretty darn well together.
  18. easier and less costly than 6hrs.
  19. think attendance will reach a high for the season? would be nice for the seniors---not to mention the whole team and staff. GO BIG RED!
  20. i tried to look up some sites about Australia hs bb. not too much luck. any names floating out there that she is looking at?
  21. Illinois MSU Maryland PSU Rutgers Iowa Neb OSU-64 Huskers-65
  22. beating Maryland would take a team's best game of the year. i guess it could happen, but, i doubt they lose till they get deeper in the NCAA's. i would have to take a look at how the tourney shed shapes up. Maryland's athleticism is really pushing them thru. watched a couple games on tv where they weren't shooting the ball real well, but, that athleticism carries them. end up getting too many chances at a basket.
  23. just guessing, but, think 5 seed may be a bit high. i was thinking best they could get would be a 7 seed. that would be with a win or two in the B1G tourney. i think if they pull off a win Sunday, it will open some eyes a little wider, once again.
  24. with matt coatney and coach yori's show, they took a call where the gentleman asked about recruiting. stated with the importance of a "big, wide body", and nebraska being a bit undersized, he wondered how recruiting was going. coach yori mentioned that shimmy wasn't at the game because she was out recruiting. coach mentioned that they will have a similar body type that the gentleman was referring to with JS coming in next year and how excited they are to add her to the team. she did state Jess is most likely the best bb player nebraska has ever produced. otherwise, coach really didn't provide much information on recruiting.
  25. Yeah, I seen it too. The first thing I thought of was this coach must have run out of pre-game speeches and is tapping the bottom of the barrel for more. I thnk she agreed to be mic-ed up because she thought this game was going in the win column for Minny. Still trying to figure out the "celebration clap" thing. The Minny coach said in the post game interview that her team wasn't prepared for this kind of environment and didn't handle it at all, especially Zahui B. I'm thinking that was just an excuse to protect her star as our star big girls completely shut down Zahui B whether there was 16 people in the stands or 5200 + ! After the game Jeff Greisch went over to get Yori and Natalie Romeo for live post game interviews with BTN. Seeing Natalie's reaction to knowing she would have to be interviewed on live tv and her attempts at getting out of it was priceless!! The kid looked so nervous but actually when her time came to talk, it looked as if she handled it like a pro! Too bad BTN cut away after they interviewed Yori and we didn't get a chance to see Nat do her thing. She got a well deserved ovation from what was left of the crowd that was filing out as she crossed the court on her way back to the locker room though! maybe the minny coach was actually talking about herself not being prepared for this type of environment? majority of minny played at the PBA last year. i was a little surprised by attendance numbers. thought it would be in that 6500-7000+. though, like coach yori mentioned on her wednesday night show that the 8pm start probably took away around 1500.
