it's probably been discussed before---so i may have missed it, but, i am just curious if lanie has given any approximate time that she would be making her college decision? i'm just guessing she might want to get it over with before her senior season so she is focused primarily on that.

think the only way we see allie havers early, is if the big gal is consistently scoring. then i think coach yori puts in havers to see if it slows her down-plus, allie will have to play smart. watch the fouls. otherwise, it's gameday as usual! GBR!

ok, so, i reside in sd and was watching the games in the girls state tourney. there were a number of players that fouled out and each time, the announcer stated that the player had been "disqualified". now, i am kinda thinking what the heck that is all about, but, when i think back, i believe these announcers did the same thing during last years tournament. i am just curious, do the nebraska announcers use the term "disqualified" when a player FOULS OUT or does this appear to be a sd thing? have the "pc police" entered and are trying to ban the term "fouled out"? just like there is a movement now from some nationally prominent ladies to ban the word "bossy"?

only got to see approx 3/4 of second half. good teams find a way to grind out a win when there is a lid on the basket. congrats to coach yori and her staff--- and to each and every team member. i was a bit concerned earlier in the season. at times wondered if this just might not be their year, but, wow---what a job of pulling it together!!! what an enjoyable season!

wow-------------just wow. didn't see this coming. thought husker chances were VERY good, but, expected a closer game. what a Sunday it is.

only way i would have vomited more was if OSU won!

be surprised if we see games that were similar to the ones at PBA and msu. i think this will be a much closer affair. GBR!

should be interesting to see how OSU plays today. seriously don't think they can come close to friday's output. kinda funny how this has happened to penn st a few times this year. osu, nebraska, even south dakota state led penn st by 20 most of the game (granted, another 30 seconds on the clock and penn st would have come back to win that game). makes me wonder if they had a chemistry issue, or, just their arrogance---maybe a combination of the two. imo, they did have the best all around talent in the big ten.

after the first round, the biggest surprise to me was the nw game. i just got to see parts of it, but, wheeeew-------i predicted they could make some noise in the tournament. boy, was i wrong---they don't appear to be the same team they were in the first half or so of the season. minny sure takes its time making some defensive adjustments. in fact, their defense is pretty bad. pretty fortunate to squeak that one out. game #1 coming up---GBR!

i also would love to see a purdue-husker championship game. with the huskers "short" bench, i think playing psu would be a huge disadvantage---since it would be game 3---but, first things first. let's get ready for game 1.

postseason tourney's are a tough grind---especially if you don't have much depth. i am sure the huskers will give it their best. GBR!

if things don't show improvement by around that 15 minute mark, i hope yori lets her bench get some serious minutes.

tight and tired= lethal combo bummer

i am really hoping any players coming off the bench can give the huskers some really quality minutes. i think it would be huge for the huskers on sunday. too bad the schedule worked out this way but "it is what it is". could be another wild one.

1. The way the Huskers have won without a bench. 2. Agree with you on Northwestern & Minny. 3. How Illinois is so bad maybe the coach needs to rethink that junk defense he plays. yes, good point relating to the husker bench. have managed that pretty well. just one more point relating to minny (borton). i did read a column in one mpls fishwrap that he believes borton has to make it to the sweet sixteen to save her job.

my biggest surprise has to be nw this season. i know it appears they seem to have run out of gas down the stretch, but, i have seen a number of their games on tv and they are young with very good players. the BigTen tourney is the kind of thing that can rejuvenate a team like this and i am not sure you want to see them on your side of the bracket. don't be surprised if they make some noise in the tournament. in second, may be the job pam borton has done in minny. they should have been better than the record they take into the tourney.

same thing i was thinking after the game. approximately 6 games ago, i wasn't sure which way this team was headed. opponents were very well aware of the preseason hype, and for the most part, nebraska is getting opponents best shot. hats off to the team and the coaching staff!!! GBR!

thoughts and prayers out to coach yori and her family. pretty concerning when a stretcher is rolled out---even though a precautionary measure. speaking of the crowd, would think it has to be exciting for the new huskers to be, and, pretty impressive for future recruits that may have nebraska on their radar.
