  1. The one thing that gives me hope is that we don't need either one to replace Webster. We have enough options to somewhat absorb the loss. We simply need them to fill a roll. If we can get 7-8 a game from them individually as an outside threat, they change our landscape
  2. Think Jack can still play the 3 or 4 so there will be minutes there. Evan and Gill will be in direct competition with him
  3. Be positive....that's fine..but be realistic too. I'll be the first to admit...he's got some tools. There are some pieces here. He's done a good job bringing in guys. That can't be argued. But I think we've seen enough to stay balanced too. Supporting them and being irrational are not mutually exclusive. Rooting every game for a team does not mean you have to have a distorted view of what they actually are. I won't argue with anyone who says that we have the apparent pieces now to be a good team. Can't subscribe to the theory that it's a foregone conclusion though.
  4. My bad.....we've been terrific!
  5. He's had the time. Whether he does or not remains to be seen. Certainly doesn't have any more excuses. The players are there and if they aren't...it's on him.
  6. Ironically, Gill, who, Allen is aware of, and a reason for coming here, may end up the casualty of Allen's presence. Simply have to have Allen or Akenten be a guy who is ready to go right away. Individually, again...we'll have some very nice components next year. Whether they fit together as a team and the right buttons get pushed will be the question.
  7. Or like he did the last 3 years? its fair to have major doubts/concerns at this point. It's also fair to say that he did a great job today as well. Allen is a hell of a pickup. It doesn't erase the last few years though
  8. Unless we know something about palmer and hill being ready for next year, I'd put maye 4th behind Hans, Ernst and dube
  9. Hard seeing it this way. Struggle seeing Copeland, Nana or Palmer as being replacements as we already had those guys in the fold.
  10. IMO, no. We needed Allen (or another quality guard) before the transfers. The transfers didn't open up this need. It opened up other. This simply fills a need we already had before the transfers
  11. Still dont believe for one second he actually believes/expects to be a wing.
  12. Then I think we have a real chance and the 24/7 predictions are all based on the assumption KU has room
  13. The only question is if KU really wants him.
  14. Considering Doby's resume....there aren't a lot of good teams offering playing time opportunities to him. He was a back-up at Winthrop and Ball State is the other main school recruiting him. I would most definitely take Ernst over him. If Doby still wants to come after...ok...if not...so be it.
  15. Take both. Ernst looks like he can play and Doby is a senior.
  16. Pry should take both regardless. Both can play the 1 or 2. Taylor and Gill are Seniors. Palmer and Watson are juniors. And we have the spots to allow for both
  17. Allen is the best player we are in on without question. He's priority number 1.
  18. Guessing Thurman gets a lot better as a player if he ends up here
  19. Tre-Shawn Thurman is visiting.
  20. With all due respect, I'll be very disappointed if mcveigh starts
  21. Not necessarily true considering you can oversign by 1.
  22. To me...right now...assuming everyone is healthy and here...next season comes down to two things. Nana and Roby. Watson will get us 14-15. Same with a healthy Copeland. I don't think Jordy will be a big time scorer, but will be productive for us. We need Roby's game to match his potential. If we can get 12 & 6 out of him consistently and Nana can average 7-8 as a consistent perimeter threat....I think we can do something. Watson and Copeland, IMO are the known variables to me. It's Roby and Nana matching their potential as the X-factor to get us over the hump.
  23. More worried about his health/quickness and rest of his game then that.
  24. It's a lot easier to buy in to a role when you see tangible results. I don't know if all of them would be here, but I feel pretty darn safe guessing we'd have at least one of them still had we been even 17-13
