  1. Deserves it's own thread. Big time play today....and not just hitting the open 3s. Gritty.
  2. Kind of what I was thinking.... Don't know if it will be him. 2-3 games from now..it will be McVeigh back on the bench....who knows with our lineup decisions. Either way...we have a ton of guys in that 3/4 position. There are only so many minutes to go around. Adding Copeland will only detract from them.
  3. That's the rumor...but weren't Fuller, Gill, McVeigh and Jacobson supposed to be good shooters as well?
  4. Maybe getting to play alongside another big may be different for Jordy. Maybe it makes Jacobson more effective. A bit ridiculous to think that giving seeing that makeup for a minute or two at a time when you are getting abused down low would make matters worse.
  5. Understanding we are thin on depth and have limited options with Morrow out but I also don't understand at all why we can't play Jake and Jordy at the same time...especially when we are getting killed on the glass. It'd let Jake move back to the 4, where he's more comfortable. Some of our PT decisions are just stupid.
  6. Hes better than anyone we have that isn't hurt
  7. Maybe its me but Miles technicals just seem to be at bad times more so than the amount of them
  8. Id also still be looking for the best player you can get....odds are someone will transfer on top of Fuller
  9. You realize I was a Miles guy and was pretty darn defensive of him until Gardner Webb this year, right?
  10. So we just need to schedule 39 minute 58 second games then
  11. He did get us tgeee But again, the supposed improved recruiting isn't paying off. That's the concern
  12. We were supposed to be better last year. We weren't. We were supposed to be better this year. We aren't. Wins and losses are what matters
  13. Northwestern won 20 games last year and will be a tourney team this year. Don't think that is a good comparison.
  14. Here is basically where I am at. I want very badly for Miles to be the guy. I like him. I've defended him. He's brought in talent. But that talent is not equating to wins on the floor. I hope he figures this out down the stretch but it looks very very likely that we will have yet another losing season. 3 in a row and 4 in 5. Despite the added talent, one can not objectively say that the program is headed in the right direction with those types of results. And yes...there are a lot of pieces in place....that's actually a reason why I'd strongly consider a change. You'd have a very good foundation for the next coach. I don't want us to relive another Sadler situation. He should have been fired after his 5th season. But Osborne was stupid. Gave him a raise and extended him. Increased our buyout and let our roster further deteriorate. When we could have had a new coach building the foundation and creating a spark with the new facilities opening up, he kept Sadler around to recruit a bunch of guys who were barely D1 caliber players, let alone P5 caliber. The scholarship/talent situation we found ourselves in Miles first year impacted us even to last year. It caused Miles to relay on transfers, piece things together and while it led to a surprising early success in Y2, it was most definitely not the foundation we wanted/needed and it showed up in the following years. If things aren't looking good....I don't want to go for one more last ditch effort hoping things remarkably turn around when all signs point otherwise. Rip the bandaid off and create as good a foundation as possible. We don't want another dead man walking situation on the recruiting trail. If the ship is righted and we play .500 ball the rest of the way....I'm all for Miles returning. But if this ships continues to head down the wrong path and we finish 7-11/6-12 or worse again....then we just may have to come to the realization that the issue isn't the talent.
  15. Again. This stuff gets said every year. Next year there will be an injury and/or unexpected transfer and we'll be making excuses again
  16. This stuff gets said every year Never works out
  17. Won't say fire him now Will say if the season finishes like it looks...that it should be very real conversation.
  18. Another miserable and underachieving year
  19. Ironically the same guy that hasn't played defense yet in his career and missed the rim on both his first half shots.
  20. This is kind of my point. If we have players...why do we consistently and routinely have issues in making shots. There's a disconnect here somewhere. Is it game prep....scouting....motivation....something has to give.
  21. Perfectly okay never watching McVeigh play again
  22. Get players who can make layups Its been a systemtic issue year over year.
  23. Then get players who can make shots.
