  1. We're 12-18. Our rough stretch lasted most of the year. I'll give you closing with a thud is big on perception though
  2. Guessing it is a context thing. They were going to make shots. But shots on top of shots on top of shots. Seemed like they would go minutes at a time without missing and every time they made another after the one before it became increasingly demoralizing.
  3. But you indict him on another matter with this support. If he has a roster of nearly all Top 150 guys....why do we suck? And don't say because we are young....because other teams are just as young/inexperienced as we are and are nowhere near this bad. The youth excuse is old. The rest of the Big 10 is extremely young sans Michigan, Illinois and Wisconsin. Youth can be viewed as a reason for optimism moving forward but not as an excuse.
  4. 9. Petition the league to play in the Women's bracket.
  5. Some road bumps early on but he was the guy that really made me believe Nebraska basketball could be something and recruit The hype/excitement for him brought something back that completely dissolved under Sadler thats something I'll remember for awhile regardless of what happens.
  6. A. I don't think there are mass transfers if we opt to fire and make a good hire to replace him. B. I'm not saying that there is a mutiny a foot or that the team as a whole dislikes him, but I don't believe things are as close knit as they seem to want to be portrayed.
  7. I don't think our roster will blow up any more if Miles is fired than if he is retained.
  8. It'll be interesting to see what we do.... We know we have: 3 games at the Advocare tourney in Florida Big 10/ACC game at home at Creighton Kansas There's 6 should be solid games right there. 3-3 vs that stretch is a win. Go 6-0 against non P5 teams and you are in a good spot heading into conference play
  9. I can see that angle. To each their own, but for me, the quality of the team we lost too carries a lot of weight. NW is a very solid team. Ohio State isn't even a terrible team. Rutgers is. Losing to a team that virtually no one else loses too just stings too much for me.
  10. I can see that. But the same applies to Rutgers. We missed Ed. Our best player turns it over twice in the final minute and then there is a flukish put back. And while OSU isn't great, they do have some talent and athletes. That was Rutgers second conference win in their last 40 games. That's hard for me to get over. Ohio State has beaten other decent teams. Rutgers hasn't really beaten anyone. I think you can excuse losses to Ohio States.
  11. Disagree and say Rutgers was close. Being at home was tough. But Rutgers is still.....Rutgers.
  12. Bingo. I looked at this last night too for other teams minutes compared to ours. We can say Glynn and Tai are playing a lot of minutes but there are several other teams whose top 2 play even more.
  13. Don't think they are gassed. Just lost the edge. Not much to play for and going up and against teams that are on the bubble or are playing for something.
  14. Was think it shows how much we need another shooter too
  15. Should he kick it out for our guards and wings to turn it over?
  16. I think individual players have developed. They don't develop as a team though. We struggle pushing the right buttons
  17. He had early success with transfers but was bringing in some legit high schoolers too. I think it was Otzelberger (sp?) that was his big recruiting assistant. That being said...if they are successful, does it matter how they come?
  18. Got to walk before you run. I'll focus on being the best when we get to being above mediocre. I like attainable goals to start.
  19. Wouldn't exactly call NW the man. They are just another historically bottom feeder like us. But they are a direct competitor to break into that middle tier level of the conference. The worse they are, the easier it is for us
  20. Yep. We want the Big 10 to be strong...but Northwestern is a program we will be competing with. Just assume have them fall back
  21. I do think Collins is the guy to move in there. Don't see Coach K stepping down for 3-4 more years though
  22. Agree with you that's what he will be known by. Disagree with you that Bo wasn't an issue off the field. Media hated him. Fans hated him. The audio tapes. Lack of respect for the program. Agree that had Bo won something people would have let some of that slide. He didn't though. You can act like Saban all you want...but you better win like him too. To me its unknown which direction the program is moving. You have to feel good about the recruiting side of things. The 2015 season was obviously frustrating from a W/L perspective but we really werent any different of a team than we had been the prior few years. A hail mary here and missed field goal there and we're the exact same time. Combine that with the declining talent base (and positions where the talent was located), chemistry/buy in issues and overall bad luck and thats what you get. Will agree with you that Riley needs to make sure these recruiting classes are legit because things ramp up here and expectations are high. I think a few major issues from the last two years get corrected this year.....OL and QB. A little concerned about playmaking ability in our front 7 though, but I do think the 3-4 fits some of our DEs abilities a bit better.
