Any class could hurt short term. I wasn't going to be upset at all with just Smith and Hammond, but with other departures it leaves even bigger gaps (Hawkins more so than Vooch). I have no doubt they're doing things behind the scenes. I meant it could hurt in terms of signing out of desperation. My knowledge of recruiting is next to zero, so don't get offended by that post.
I personally feel that the confidence level of some posters in getting Deng or Ayegba may be a little high. Deng has other solid offers. Even with his ankle injury I'm sure plenty of schools would be interested. Last I saw Baylor was the favorite on him. Ayegba didn't put up massive numbers, but being immediately available should be attractive to plenty of other schools. As others have said, no verbal after his visit is interesting.
