Just because we got beat by Terrence Shannon, does not mean we need Terrence Shannon.
We have added athleticism and length. It’s going to help our defense tremendously, and that’s where we need to improve the most. We didn’t lose to A and M or Illinois because we couldn’t score enough. We lost because we gave up 98 points.
Why wouldn’t you bring a fan favorite back if they’re still engaged with the program and want to be there? Seems like he might be marrying into some roots here as well. I’m not a season ticket holder but if I found myself in PBA and KT was on the court, you bet I’d be standing and clapping.
Yes it is, but still run by universities. So this move swings the power pendulum back toward the schools a bit. Honestly, maybe a bit more toward the non-blue bloods. Since they sign a lot of players that believe they are going to be one and done, and barely do the student part of student athlete.
Gotta make sure you’re a good candidate for it though. I have a cousin who went blind in one eye after.
I mostly wear contacts and for me, the risk of losing my sight is definitely not worth removing the inconvenience of taking contacts in and out everyday.
I can see holding one for the next month or so. Especially after seeing the post about players waiting for their last NIL checks before hitting the portal. But by the time summer workouts roll around, I’d like a full cupboard of players competing for playing time.
I think we’ll be happy too, if he’s here for more than a year. You never know these days. Also, keep in mind we saw year four Brice last year. This will just be Griffiths’ second year. Definitely time to become a not poor man’s Brice.
Between Blaise, Lloyd and Ulis we ended up with three scholarships that contributed nothing to the games. We should pry expect 2-3 scholarships to have little to no impact each season, so we still have some work to do.
Wouldn’t you love it if a kid was an absolute stud and had a good sense of humor, and a coach said something to the effect of “I have no idea why the NIL collective offered this kid what they did. He must have a co-sponsorship lined up with a pine processing company because that’s what he’s gonna be riding.”
You know, just to mix it up a bit.
Would step seamlessly into the coach Cal role of first winning a championship, then pulling in crazy talent and getting bounced the first weekend of the tourney.
I’m just saying it took Derrick time to learn how to do those things and put it all together his fifth year. Maybe Payne could too.
Very happy to have Morgan in the fold. Will be a very nice addition to the roster.
Locked in cloud cover here in Minneapolis with no hope. The last one though in 2017 I got to watch totality from my childhood driveway, so I'll take the tradeoff.
