  1. Not controversial at all. Yet, the shot needs to be there all season
  2. At this point I'm saying that we may be a little better than last year. If Connor stays consistent, if Berke finds his perimeter game, if player communication remains strong, if another player or two step forward with their game, if the league allows us to play physical, if we stay away from serious injury, if we continue to shoot free throws well...then we may be much better this year. We need to continue to improve, and if we do, we will be a pretty scary team as we move into March.
  3. The next few months is going to bring about a lot of change in our program. Both the coaching staff and roster will be much different. Who will stay and who will go is ever changing. Take a deep breath husker nation!
  4. 40 to 50 will be leaving + coaches. Going to be crazy
  5. That is actually the third Summit league team the huskers played this season, Omaha and South Dakota being the others. Because of proximity, they are economic choices.
  6. Another observation worthy of mentioning; we missed at least five bunnies today. Insane to think we could have had 110+ points.
  7. Ahron had a good game today as well...just saying.
  8. Didn't see us blowing them out. A very well played game, especially with one of our starters out. Nicely done!
  9. UNL must be short of funds. Local kids are the halftime show...
  10. WTH report did I grab??? Covers.com. I guess accuracy is shady at best?
  11. Nebraska Player Injury Status Details Juwan Gary Ques Sun - Eye - 11/28/24 Questionable
  12. I do sort of miss Beau Reid though; especially when he used to interact with us on this site. Side note, I wonder if Bo and Doc still interact. If I correctly recall, they forged a pretty decent friendship while here. They even played golf together at Augusta National. Bo was a a good coach; but man, he was chippy with certain members of press. He also sort of crumbled under the pressure of the Nebraska machine. That said, I would take his record right now. His offense even would look good;)
  13. Four plays! Four flipping plays!!! Okay, moving on. I have never been a fan of hand shakes before, or at the end of games. It serves no purpose. Feelings are disingenuous at best. We witness the worst, all to often. Sportsmanship is displayed by the actions taking place during the action, not by handshakes before or after the actin.
  14. Oops. They did. I checked the wrong score
  15. North Florida lost by 13 tonight
  16. Ulis against South Dakota earlier this week. Before that, I am pretty sure Keisei had one.
  17. Many coaches have humongous egos. They believe they can fit talented square pegs into their round hole. The thing is, somehow, some way, the elite coaches oftentimes accomplish that feat.
  18. Making us look better, and better.
  19. Goodness, Indiana looks bad.
  20. Us 84 Them 73 They also have a game Friday night...
  21. I'm going to take a somewhat different viewpoint. There seems to be more parity in the league this year. Many teams can look good; yet many are capable of falling flat as well (Indiana certainly laid an egg versus Louisville today). I guess what I am saying is, yes it will be a grind; but I see this as a great opportunity to go out and exceed expectations.
  22. Right now, Gavin's defense is comparable to Wilcher's. He seems to be a tweener, where he lacks perimeter quickness and body mass in the paint. Can it be fixed? Perhaps in the off-season. So for now, it has to be overcome with effort/intensity or it has to be hidden through schemes. Gavin could be an important cog for our machine; but right now, he has no rhythm on offense and he is a defensive liability, so, his court time could be at risk. Honestly, I was thinking the same thing about Connor; but he has elevated his game the past three outings.
