  1. I could argue that Danny brought some terrific talent, and had is right on the edge. What coulda and shoulda happen, didn't. That said, Huggy can coach.
  2. Yes...Arkansas is still in.
  3. He looked good sitting on the bench...
  4. "Who cares" comes to mind.
  5. Along with TV Teddy.
  6. Hard to fake given he had surgery. I guess they could put him out fix a hang nail...
  7. Absolutely no reason you can't do both...plus recruit JUCO and high schools. Today's technology and the access to private jet(s) allows the coaches and supporting staff to do all rather seamlessly.
  8. Honestly, many of us thought the same thing when Fred was hired. We hope year seven brings us that first tournament win. Don't get me wrong, that is a great hire; but they have to overcome Purdue, in their own State, as well as a tough Big Ten schedule. I guess Dusty did it at Michigan, so hey, who knows.
  9. Please!!! I lost my optimism several years ago. I am hoping they will be fine.
  10. Meah should never been brought in. That is not a reflexion on him or his play. He simply was not a fit to our schemes; and frankly there were no adjustments made to fit his game. Berke on the other hand does seem to be a good fit. He was only a sophomore and seems to fit our schemes. He has an upside that can be leveraged and he has potential for growth. Lest we forget, he was one of our better defenders. Morgan played well in spurts . He should have been a 10 to 12 minute player; but was certainly mediocre in his more enhanced role.
  11. This makes me ill.
  12. 4* out of Sunrise Academy. Missouri, Arkansas, Oklahoma among teams recruiting him. Howard is our main recruiter. https://www.on3.com/db/aidan-chronister-237669/
  13. NASHVILLE, Tenn. — The NCAA will abandon a rule that stopped athletes from negotiating potentially lucrative name, image and likeness deals before enrolling in a specific college, Tennessee Attorney General Jonathan Skrmetti said Monday as he announced a settlement in a lawsuit over the policy. Skrmetti and a handful of attorneys general had sued the NCAA over its name, image and likeness recruiting ban, arguing the rule violated antitrust laws. The proposed settlement must still be approved by a federal judge. In a statement, Skrmetti said “With a multi-billion-dollar entertainment industry rising from the foundation of college sports, the kids who make it all happen should not be the only people denied an opportunity to prosper." An NCAA spokesperson said the proposed settlement “underscores our support for student-athletes benefiting from their NIL and our commitment to provide increased benefits to student-athletes at every stage in their collegiate experience, creating a sustainable model for the future of college sports.” The agreement, if approved by the court, will allow college athletes to negotiate compensation for name, image and likeness deals before enrolling in a specific school, and it will allow third parties to negotiate name, image and likeness deals during recruitment windows. The NCAA will also have to publicize any proposed name, image and likeness changes for the next five years and meet with states before the proposals can take effect. Attorneys general in New York, Virginia, Florida and the District of Columbia were part of the coalition that sued over the policy. The judge handling the case had previously ordered the NCAA to temporarily halt the policy while the case played out.
  14. Perhaps I am crazy; but the kid sort of reminds me of Jack McVeigh.
  15. I stand corrected. Per this article, a head injury wasn't part of the life threatening injuries... https://fanbuzz.com/college-basketball/bobby-hurley-accident/
  16. While still playing, Bobby was involved in a significant car crash and he suffered a multitude of injuries. I believe one of those injuries was a signicant head injury.
  17. Tim Miles and San Jose State will be playing in the NIT
  18. I wonder who will coach Nova? West Virginia may not have a coach by then either.
  19. Here is a naive question. The media (and others) can compel salary information on coaches, professors, and the like as it is supposedly public information. Why doesn't the same hold true for the athletes? Are they not employees of the university? I also assume they are also eligible for various other employee benefits.
  20. I guess schools could do something similar to Davidson. Hire a superstar sugar-daddy as an assistant GM, pair him with another sugar-daddy and then hope the good times will roll... https://www.davidson.edu/news/2025/03/10/curry-berman-start-funding-davidson-college-basketball https://www.espn.com/mens-college-basketball/story/_/id/44191234/stephen-curry-accepts-assistant-gm-role-davidson-hoops
  21. Interesting read... https://nypost.com/2025/03/16/sports/st-johns-title-team-wasnt-built-by-nil-money-rick-pitino/
  22. Yeah, the dude is their GM
  23. According to On3, the Wolverines are one of four teams currently involved with former Iowa power forward Owen Freeman. Arkansas, Gonzaga and Creighton are also in the mix.
