  1. That dude screamer is annoying to everyone but our free throw shooter...
  2. Time to spread the floor and let Brice work to the basket.
  3. Don't lose contact men. They are hot.
  4. Not sure why he would. I know a lot of patrons complain about his offense; but as a rebounder and defender, he is good. At one point this season (and I have no clue what it means) he was rated our teams best defender...
  5. Looks to me on the limited video, that the Chippewa's run a similar offense to ours. I see Berke, Mast and Oogie all coexisting.
  6. Must have misheard on the play-by-play. Thanks for the correction.
  7. Simple question, how much is your donation to NIL? I can say my donation is a bit south of $1K. It is what my fixed budget allows. Jayskers historically give to our football program; but dump their basketball $$$ into the Creighton program. So when we are talking basketball resources, we pale in comparison to Creighton. And yes, that also frustrates the crap out of me...especially since my brother-in-law and sister fall into that Jaysker camp.
  8. Nickname: Boogie
  9. Okay, got our big! Welcome!!! Now grab our PG!

  11. I wanted Dix as well. It didn't happen, so you move on. Sandfort is a good player. If he continues to develop he may even be a great player. He was a 4* for a reason. He can defend, rebound and is a pretty decent athlete. Brice is not going to be replaced easily. It is likely both Gary and Williams points, leadership, defense and rebounds will have to be absorbed by a group rather than one player. I will add, there were times this year that patrons on this site, were not happy with Brice. He turned it on going down the stretch and is adored, rightly so. But here's the deal, we did not make the Big Ten tournament or NCAA Tournament with Juwan and Brice. So the task is not to rebuild the "team" with one individual player. We've started the process, let's see how it proceeds.
  12. Creighton will be good. Put that in the bank. We need talent. We have added one talented piece. Maybe two if J-Law is in. I expect we may lose one additional player. I base that on gut feeling rather than speaking to anyone. I am also going to assume that Cale will get one of the 6 open scollies. Finally, given five remaining scholarships; we need a stud PG. One additional talented big is also required. The remaining three should be high quality "best available/best fit" players.
  13. Welcome!!!
  14. The dude was interviewed on The Ticket this morning. His name is Rob and he works at one of the Bryan hospitals in Lincoln. Funny interview. He bought the ticket on line as he was vacationing in Vegas. He actually sat there for the Boise game as well. Got some funny looks from the bench in both games but everything was cool with some handshakes and fist bumps. He was surprised by the location and simply took in the game with beer in hand. At the half, he was asked by a tournament official if he would rather move into the Nebraska section, and he accepted the move. His phone has blown up. He is heading home and will not be attending the semis.
  15. Just great Norm...I try to purge these miserable memories, and you just bring them back up willy-nilly.
  16. I've heard Fred say numerous times that we do not want to pick up players with attitude issues. The other day I heard the new Iowa coach say something similar. He indicated first and foremost, he is looking for players that can play. But he would pass on any player with a "me first" attitude or lost interest if he was having a bad game or practice (I am paraphrasing). But I think many coaches think that way. Yet, in today's age, aren't most players and their handlers, "me first". They demand dollars, they demand playing time, they require X amount of touches or shots each game. Hey, if I'm not starting, I'm departing? What can a middling program like ours, do? Crap, every program wants the uber talented, excellent scholar, great citizen kid. Tell me PLEASE, how do we get those kids here? I've heard that restaurants can offer great food, cheap food and great/fast service. Unfortunately, most, if not all those restaurants can only succeed with two out of three. I feel like we have to evaluate what we are willing to do to secure a championship team. I personally love high energy kids. But how do you get and keep kids that have the high energy and elite basketball talent?
  17. I don't think it's is just the media. Nebraska fans tend to focus on what we don't have rather than enjoy what we do have. I mean, it is who we are!
  18. A lot of stuff we can probably be critical of, and sure Georgetown and the rest of the Big East sucks; but hey we won. And we won with two walk ons starting and playing big minutes. Brice was awesome as was Juwan; but do we expect anything less from those two. And our complementary players did okay. We are going to have to be much better to win the next two games though. Hey, 19 wins baby!
  19. I wonder if he is interested in transferring...to us.
