No shock if this is true. He has bern a trooper with nary a complaint despite being over matched night after night. Again, if factual, good luck young man!

The changes may be more behind the scenes then out front. But that said...Homerism may be more of a possibility; if that is even remotely possible with our current crews. -
I talked to a referee a couple years ago who commented that the quality of refereeing declined when leagues started to hire flat bellies over round bellies There may be some truth to that.

No shock with Bret leaving, and actually he should be able to drop down to a level where playing time is probable. It also doesn't suck that he will have four years of eligibility, is two years removed from HS and has been practicing against power five competition. Good luck Bret!

My first thought...will Bellevue have any gas left in their tank for today's game???

With power, strikeouts often follow. Contact philosophy versus all or nothing mentality; especially when the count is not favorable.

People, come on. Don't be naive; it was about $$$$$$$$$. A home game would generate more revenue for the program and the city/county/state. I agree the national optics create ugliness, but after this past season the revenue loss is significant. Think about recruiting as well. A home game would assist the program as well. This game package with Oklahoma is important, but exploring options is not a bad thing.

Which of our current players would make 1st, 2nd or 3rd team All Big Ten? So, who is our best player? Our best teammate? Our best defensive player? Our best offensive player? Our best rebounder? Our best passer/assist player? Our player who has only touched the surface of his ability? Now in those categories, would any of our players rate in the top five in the conference in their category? Be honest, where do our players rate? I think we have a couple who may fit...maybe. Once you do that, then ask which players would really upset you IF they left. I want to play for championships. We need the Jimmies and Joe's to do so.

Newsflash...WE HAVE TO increase our talent level. Players transferring is a good thing IF it is the right players are leaving AND coming in. I will not pick on individual players. It is the coaching staff picking and recruiting these players and it is the coaching staff nurturing and developing the players. Michigan has done this the last two years extremely well and I am impressed with how Illinois has done it the past couple as well. Purdue, Iowa and Michigan State sort of own the blueprint, as only the names on the players back changes but the style and talent either is similar and sometimes greater than the previous year. Point I am poorly trying to make is that I think I see what type of game Nebraska is trying to play and I look at the talent and style of players we currently have. I believe there are only three or four of our current players that I would be upset if they left. That is sort of sad.

Yes. Iowa has a good team. But...I did not think we played hard. Our mindset appeared negative, like it was an unwinnable game from the onset. Our defense was in slow motion. Our offensive spacing and execution was bad. We were clanging open looks...sheesh. otherwise no problem. Now let's win the next two games and take it from there. -
He is a nice guy... He is a winning coach... He has no known racist history... All of the above bodes well for him. It still might not save him depending on the groundswell of adversary reaction.
