Won both games today and the wins featured a no-no and a plethora of home runs. Nicely done ladies.

PSU loses at home versus Washington.

We knew it was coming; but it still doesn't prepare you. I loved Greg's passion and presentation. Prayers are extended to the family; and may Sharpie rest in peace.

Softball and baseball teams North of the Mason-Dixon line ride the up and down nature of a roller-coaster during early season games. We simply do not have the luxury of an abundance of outdoor practice time.

Interesting question. Further assumptions; I have built a contending team, that team has been a historical bottom feeder. That team has not yet, reached the level of play that consistently translates into a top tier program. However, that said, your building a foundation of expectations. Tied with that are specific systems for your offense, defense and off-court behavior. Now, when you recruit do you recruit for that system, or do you make systematic changes to conform to the recruit/players? Now back to your question, with my answer. I said this earlier in the season. It doesn't appear to me that the staff really knows how to leverage Meah. So instead of changing the system, the coaches are requiring Meah to conform to the system. -

One quality Jano does not appear to possess is quickness. So he likely fits into a PG role similar to Rollie and Sam G. -

We simply got beat tonight. Tough to swallow. They had an answer for every run that we made. Crap. We move on. -

We didn't have it tonight. Dead men walking. Maryland was simply hot and every time we tried to climb back into the game, they provided a counter. It sucks. -

Man, they are hot. -
I don't think Hurley is insecure. I heard a talking head say that Hurley's issue is that he is simply a pompous jerk. Other than that, he is likable.

Unless it is Creighton. Then you can bet your a** I will bag on the kid. Why??? Because it is Creighton. That said, if the kid goes just about anywhere else, I can see giving the kid a break. Unless of course the kid is named TJ Pugh.

They have to defend us as well. We need Connor to be hot and Gary and Williams just need to keep doing what they've been doing. -

Patrons site lines were compromisedwihen people left early. Also, some fans leaving created security problems when they lingered and/or walked near the benches. Heck, this year there was a security issue when a fan approached the visitors bench. Folks, security is an inconvenience until it matters. Bad shit happens if you are not prepared.
-
Not going to happen. Security issues number one; but when the PBA opened, people were allowed to go down and the "fans" were leaving early and it caused major logistics issues. I agree it takes awhile to exit; but the alternatives are even more nightmarish.

Nebraska (14-8) vs. Washington (11-10) Game Thread

I'm not quite sure you would still call Bolis raw. First, I've heard good things about him from practices. Secondly, he did play Class A basketball. Third, he has one year of JUCO, under his belt (and oh by the way, could get that year back). Fourth, he has now practiced a full year against pretty decent competition and mentored under Rienk and Josiah. Lastly, he will have had a full year under our nutrition and strength programs. Again, I am not going to crawl out on the limb and claim he will be a star; but until he fails y eye test next year, I do believe he may be a solid member of the rotation...or he will be gonzo. -

Let's not sleep on the young man sitting at the end of our bench right now. I will stop way short saying he is a star in the making. Yet I will say I'm hearing good things about him, and our other two redshirts. Just saying... -
Hey, you are in the top 20 my man!!!

At one point in the past, we sang "Happy Trails." Perhaps we should divert back in time? -

Most fouls called are likely spot on, although as a "homer" I retain the right to bitch and moan to appease my frustration. That said I am driven to insanity by the NEW methodology of awaiting the outcome of a shot before the whistle is blown. The message being sent is that it is only a foul IF the shot is missed. And then, the opposite of that is the anticipatory whistle, where the ref thinks or assumes there will be a violation, whether there is one or not. In both cases, it is bad officiating. ...and oh yeah, did the NCAA do away with the 3 second in the lane rule? Apparently so. OSU lived in the lane today. Sometimes it was to Thortons's detriment, as he couldn't drive thru his bigs. -

The way he landed was very similar to the way Ashduece went down. I'm hoping low ankle rather than high ankle sprang. We shall see. -

A few thoughts prior to the Super Bowl: - Berke may have had his best game as a Husker. He is becoming more comfortable and allows us to spread the floor. - Brice is becoming one of our best players ever. He is a good defender and rebounder and looks confident at all three levels. He is $money$ at the free throw line. And oh yeah, he is a leader! - Juwan has also elevated his game, plus, he looks like he is having fun. - Shout out to Braxton. He coulda moped and mailed it in after he was benched. Instead he is playing well...although I was screaming at him when he went to the floor and didn't immediately get up, in the first half. He seemed to realize his error and got up and ran. - Once again everyone who played, seemed to play well. Make no mistake, Ohio State is a pretty darn good team. They defend, they play aggressively and they can shoot the damn ball. We won, nuf said!
