Was it Boise State that had the whooping cough outbreak last weekend? I'm likely misremembering

No doubt in my mind... - we will ba a top 20 team - we will win one or two games in the NCAA tournament - we will have two players on our team that will be All Big Ten [top three teams) - we will have one all american. - we will be in the top 4 in the league. - we will have multiple complaints about Amy.

Tough fought match tonight. Very good win!

Yeah, there was discussions about this kid before on this site. Not sure whether he has his own category or not...came to Kearney from Arizona. https://kgfw.com/2023/11/10/talented-sophomore-to-transfer-to-khs/

You have your right to your opinion. Others have the right to theirs. By the way, I did not grow up in the metro areas, and I know a load of people both in Northeast and Central Nebraska. Many do not share your opinion that he is a favorite son, and many are still upset with his decision to turn his back on Nebraska. Again, I am not dissing the dude. In fact, I respect his accomplishments. I simply was miffed that he appeared to get special access to the field, and "I" thought that was a bone-headed decision by someone in the athletic department, since he turned his back on the University. He absolutely has the right to make decisions that he feels are in his best interests. But when he chooses a rival institution, he becomes irrelevant to our institution.

RIP James Earl Jones. One of the best and recognized voices ever.

Just an aside. I had the opportunity to very quickly say hello to Dr. Tom at the game. He seems healthy; but is certainly starting to look his age. He also appears to really like our team this year. I personally believe that Coach Rhule embracing Frank Solich and Coach Darlington (as well as Dr. Tom) creates a ton of goodwill amongst the alumni.

I will take a slightly different take on the subject. Baylor is totally irrelevant to the University of Nebraska. He CHOSE to attend and play for a rival program. He should have total access to Creighton sports. He should take his new buddies to a Creighton soccer game and be warmly welcomed. He should also be allowed to PURCHASE a ticket like any other Jaysker. However, someone in our athletic department made a bone headed decision to provide him access to the Nebraska playing field to show off to his new cronies. He also had access to players that were being recruited to Nebraska. Now am I going to lose sleep about this...heck no. But giving the dude access to a Husker playing field, when we are playing a rival, in one of the biggest games in recent years, just seems SO wrong. Just saying...

Now, that was fun! That first half was an unbelievable display of quality husker football. The second half was more or less, not great football. But what the hell, a fantastic, feel good, win!

What a conundrum. We sure seem to be a team loaded with interchangeable depth. Does anyone think that playing time will be gifted? I mean, seriously! We truly could start any of our scholarship players, and perhaps two of our " walk-on's." Perhaps we should ask this question; who on this roster shouldn't start?

I guess I take this as the truth. A Nebraska kid jerry-rigging a ball return so he can practice his jump shot. https://share.newsbreak.com/8jl8q4d0

A bit of a reality check...every team in our conference won this weekend with the exception of Minnesota who lost to another power conference opponent, by missing a field goal. I was happy with our win and thought we had a high number of positive takeaways. BUT, we need to continue to elevate our game, significantly, to get back to the upper echelon of teams.

I don't see him either.

Jacobson is to Fred's right. Morgan is in the trees. He really had to go.

I may be totally wrong; but I seem to remember that Logan actually took Hoppen's place in the starting line up. Definitely small ball. -

Agree. I'm planning on traveling to a few away games, and the delay is likely increasing travel costs. -

Geez HB...I could have sworn you were the originator of that iconic "Moe must go, dig up Joe" chant. Kidding...just kidding! -
Thank you for the update! This does not shock me. This team has the depth to play that style. I would take it one step further though. The team can/will still run when the opportunities are there; but will be able to pound the rock as well. Flexibility is the key. We will not need to be one dimensional, which is great when it is working; but when it is not...yikes. Once again, thanks for the information basketballjones!

I liked Cip. He was a motivator who surrounded himself with excellent assistant coaches. He also brought in some really good players. Needless to say, if he had today's rules, we could have a much better NCAA tournament record.
