  1. Yeah, this kid's ship has long since sailed past us. He had at least two chances to sign and play for us, and chose a different path. Too bad and so sad. I certainly hope that our staff deleted his number from their contact list.
  2. Good lord. I hope that the individual assaulted is on the road to recovery. I guess it will be interesting to see how Texas handles the situation.
  3. I was looking for him and must have missed him. So I can only assume he was there.
  4. Is softball like baseball where most players are only provide partial scholarships? If so, I surmise the scholarship falls to basketball.
  5. Larry Scirotto sucks! That's all for now!
  6. Boy, that win was rough around the edges. But it was a win.
  7. Nevermind...he is out there now.
  8. Sam is looking good. I do not see Wilhelm warming up with the bigs. He may be out????
  9. Oh man, in the games so far this year the student section, by in large, has been a ghost town.
  10. Ahhh. But she is competitive, I am guessing that if you leave it strictly up to her, she will play. If academia, coaches, parents, nutritional staff and trainers have a say, it will then be a couple weeks.
  11. I will wager that she is on the bench tonight. That said, to me the questions are whether she suits up and if she suits up, could she see a few minutes on the floor?
  12. Since I am a Czech from eastern Nebraska, that must be where and how I became familiar with the term. By the way, my grandmother came from the old country. She always insisted she was Czech, not Bohemian and not a Gipsy. Okay, enough of that back to basketball.
  13. Although I have, on occasion heard honyok used in more endearing terms. The others mentioned, not so much. Honyok or honyock A person who is foolish, stupid, oafish, wild, impetuous, or stubborn. Like other slurs that've been appropriated by their intended targets, today it is often used in a jocular or affectionate manner when addressing one's own family or friends.
  14. Hmmm. Are you my son? It is sort of a last century term. At a recent gathering, I turned to one of my family members and asked "what sayeth you?" And everyone sort of freaked out. Yup, I am getting a bit long in the tooth...we'd better win an NCAA game pretty soon or I won't see it
  15. We hung in there but for the first several minutes. Our defensive strategy seemed to be adjusted and would have been successful but for a couple honyoks playing the games of their lives...we move on.
  16. Well. We didn't quit. A couple of their roles players simply went off. Missed Sam.
  17. So...he is not having a "game" against us...he is having a flippin SEASON!
  18. It is now officially...ugly.
  19. Hey at least the ladies stomped on the Badgers tonight.
  20. Just can't get over the hump.
  21. Way to go ladies!!!
  22. Who in the hell is Trey Galloway and why is he having "a game" against us?
