  1. If given the choice between a Palmer clone or a Watson clone, I would choose a Watson clone. We need a PG in the worst way. I think we don't lose to Minnesota, Rutgers, or last night with Watson. That would make us 19 - 4, and in the thick of the conference race. I commend Lawrence for giving it a try, but he is not ready.
  2. I'm old enough to remember a game in the '90's against Missouri where we were absolutely hosed. Much like tonight. That Nebraska team took it out on the teams in the Big 8 tournament. I hope our guys do the same.
  3. Actually, it happened Thursday night when Brice tried the game winning shot. Just as much contact happened on that play, and NOTHING was called.
  4. There was more contact on Mast than when Sam stripped the guy in the corner.
  5. 2 illegal screens but 0 travels.
  6. I was just going to say that.
  7. What does it take to call a travel? Hawkins took 4 steps on that runner?
  8. A lot by us to non existent against Illinois. I think 7 - 3.
  9. Nice to see the refs being consistent. Consistently bad. How do you allow the Illinois guy to tackle Gary.
  10. How was that not a foul on the rebound?
  11. My rankings by difficulty Home 1 (hardest) Penn State 2. Rutgers 3. Minnesota 4. Michigan Away 1 Illinois 2 Northwestern 3 Ohio State 4 Indiana 5 Michigan We can't just show up and expect to win. If we play up to our ability, I think we can get 6 wins.
  12. I think it depends on your roster, who's returning, how much experience they have, how you did the previous year. For example, we had Keisei, Gary, Lawrence, CJ, and Hoiberg back from a .500 team. I think racking up wins, gaining confidence, seeing what was there from the transfers trumped creating Q1/Q2 opportunities. If everything goes well down the stretch. We make the NCAA tournament, and everyone stays, who can, next year would deserve scheduling Q1/Q2 games. We could return Brice, Gary, Lawrence, CJ, Mast, Sam, and Rice. That's some good experience. We are probably scheduling to get the best seed for the Dance.
  13. If we can get into the 40's, we have a good shot of making it to the dance. Therefore, MSU staying in the top 30 would help us immensely. It probably comes down to MOV in their 7 losses. 3 of their Quad 1 losses were by double digits. The others were by single digits. 5 of our 6 losses were by double digits.
  14. I'm thinking we might be able to sneak in a home NIT game.
  15. I think our rotations were much better in the 2nd half. In our 1st meeting, Wisconsin kept cutting to the basket and the big man would find the cutter. Tonight, we seemed to not allow that. Made them take jump shots.
  16. Some of his shots were halfway down and didn't go in. That was the most shocking part of his game.
  17. Unfortunately for as high as I am. Illinois is not a good match-up for us on the road Illinois 79 Nebraska 63
  18. Brice played really well the 2nd half. He was in my doghouse in the 1st half. He was challenging shots. He was being aggressive going for rebounds. He took care of the ball. He brings that attitude the rest of the year, he will be so valuable.
  19. He was at the scorers table. Give CJ a super quick break.
  20. Out of all the nights to be off shooting, tonight is the worst.
  21. Ours was probably cleaner.
