  1. Some good things we have a 6 point lead and are 2 - 11 from 3. We are outscoring them 9 - 3 in points off turnovers. We have only given up 2 2nd chance points. All good things. Bad things. Missed 2 bunnies. Shooting 2 - 11 from 3. 7 free throw attempts for PSU. We only have 3. PSU should wear down in the 2nd half, allowing us some open 3's and some trips to the free throw line. Keep up the defensive intensity and get a win.
  2. I'm not expecting much. I think a bowl game is a good season. Too much inexperience at QB. I feel our Freshmen QB's are more talented than any we had since Joe Ganz. If I were to guess with the way things stand right now, we end up with 7 wins.
  3. He had one real putrid outing. He gave up 12 earned runs in 3 2/3 innings in that outing against Oklahoma State. Take that out and it is about what Sears did (who matched him). I'm not too concerned yet. If we get that type of starting pitching from a Friday starter, we could have something brewing this year.
  4. That would be a tough one. Safe Purdue (Painter) Illinois (Underwood) Michigan State (Izzo) Northwestern (Collins) Wisconsin (Gard) Most likely coming back Nebraska (Hoiberg) Iowa (McCaffrey) Minnesota (Johnson) Rutgers (Pikell) Maryland (Willred) Penn State (Rhoads) 50/50 Indiana (Woodsen) Most likely out Michigan (Howard) Out Ohio State (Holtmann)
  5. My prediction is 33 - 23 overall, 13 - 11 in conference. That was just a quick glance at the schedule. No in depth look at opponents.
  6. I don't know if it would work, but I think I would do a neutral site pod system the 1st 2 weekends of conference play. You could have 2 four team pods and 3 three team pods. The pods would be Mar weeks 2 and 3. That way the northern teams get a few weekends under their belt before conference play.
  7. Their best win so far is us or Seton Hall. They have 0 quad 1 wins. Husker4life did show their remaining schedule. They do have some opportunities for quad 1 wins. I just don't know if they are good enough to win those games.
  8. It also doesn't help that we've lost by an average of 15 points in quad 1 losses, and 12 points in quad 2 losses. BYU has lost by an average of 8 points in quad 1 games, and by 11 in their only quad 2 loss.
  9. We had Rutgers dead to rights until Gary went down with what looked like a season ending injury. They pounded us on the glass after that. They had 16 offensive rebounds in the final 18 minutes after Gary went out. They had 9 in the 1st 27 minutes with Gary. If Gary stays healthy, we should be able to hold our own.
  10. Took care of the ball. Took good shots. Passed up good shots for wide open shots. I agree with Jake, that was the best 15 minute stretch by far this season. Michigan is not well coached. They go by Switzer's philosophy. It is more about the Jimmy's and Joe's than the X's and O's. If the Jimmy's and Joe's play well, they will beat you.
  11. Ohio State double OT win. Hopefully keeps them as a quad 1. Gonzaga winning at Kentucky hurts. If it comes down to Gonzaga and us, we have no chance. Now, rooting for Kansas State to keep it close.
  12. Sorry no idea how I was on this thread.
  13. Wilcher has 3 fouls. All 3 have been questionable. The first 2 were atrocious. Good job by teammates to calm him down.
  14. I look and we have extended the halftime lead. Doesn't feel like it.
  15. That last make by Michigan started by not stalling taking the ball out. We unbounded it way too quickly. This game probably doesn't make a difference, but really got to learn that kind of things down the stretch. Hoiberg was not happy at the time with them.
  16. The difference is we are making shots, and taking care of the ball. We have much more pep in our step. It shouldn't be that way. If we ever figure this effort out, when we aren't making shots, we would be a great team.
  17. I thought for sure Keisei was launching. Then a beautiful no look to Mast.
  18. Like I've said all year, need to bottle this up on the road.
  19. Allick's only bad grade is free throw shooting a little off today.
  20. We only have 2 more times we have 2 off days in between games. The rest are 3 or more off days. Both of the times we get to come back home on the 2 off days, vs Michigan and Rutgers.
  21. We need to get some road games on Peacock.
  22. If I needed a ref to call a game to save my life, and my only 2 options are Eric Curry and Kelly Pfifer. I would just consider I had a good ride, and call it a day.
  23. Nebraska 83 Michigan 73 4 players
