It's like we thought we had this game won before we started.

Rutgers might have more points in the first half than they did in our game against them out there.

This right now is piss poor effort.

Does either team want to play defense today?

Benny got beat twice and Watson came out. Head shaker I think he was suppose to stick with the Rutgers player on the switch, but I really didn't understand it either. I thought Benny was coming out.

Hammond did a great job on defense, except grab the ball.

Not much energy in the building today. Already some subs based on play. Watson taken out after struggling on defense. Benny taken out after struggling on offense and defense.

I would say yes because for the first 11 games he played no fewer than 10 minutes. He was avg. 3.9 points per game and 4.4 rebounds per game up to that point with nearly a block a game. Granted, those weren't the best teams we faced, but it still shows he can give us minutes.

The real question should have been, Why was Benny guarding Tremble in the first place? Tai did a great job on him in the first half. He should have been the one guarding Tremble.

We need to learn how to finish these games. We had a 3 point lead with just under 8 minutes to go. Need to extend the lead, and find a way to get a victory.

Rutgers is shooting 27.6% from 3 in conference play, and PSU is shooting 28.7% from 3 in conference play. If they start draining 3's against us, something is seriously wrong with this world.

That's when we need Jacobson, Morrow, Hammond to go to the rim.

We needed Jacobson to hit some early jump shots to pull him away from the basket. He did go 8-15 from the floor. Hammonds went 11-14 for Purdue.

We actually had 16 offensive rebounds. Of course when you miss 45 shots, you have more chances at rebounds, but that is a pretty good number. We need to realize we don't have a center, and when Shields, Tai, Benny, Glynn, Andrew, whomever drives, we need our big guy to go to the rim when his guy goes to help.

Our fast break offense was not good, but Maryland had a 4 on 1, missed the lay-up, and fouled. It was terrible transition offense all around, but it was big boy basketball. We need to go through a tackling dummy drill down low, and start making shots because we haven't been getting calls during Big 10 play when we try to love the rim.

We were about our average from the free throw line. You cannot shoot 32% from the field.

We can't win if we shoot 32% and Maryland shoots 51%. We have a lot of work to do on offense. When we drive, you have to get to a spot on the court to allow yourself a wide open look. It was not about effort, it was about mental. You cannot leave Melo, when doubling the post. You have to find a spot for an outlet when you drive. Finally, you have to knock down shots.

If you follow the letter of the rules, it was a flagrant one. He did not make any effort at the ball.

Out of curiosity - does a bench warning notify both teams that they need to watch out?Good question, I think that Tim might have said a bit more than MarkMaybe but you can't warn one and not the other. On the replay it looked like number 11 grabbed Shavon's arm, BUT SURPRISE NO CALL! That's alright because on their dunk Layman grabs Watson's arm to keep him from getting the ball. No call. Saulman just ran across the court on that last drive, and no travel call?

I have a better chance of winning the lottery than these refs calling a foul on one of our drives.

I've noticed on drives that we have nowhere for the driver to go. We need to have a guy in the corner for a shot, and a big guy rolling to the front of a rim for a dish and a flush.
