  1. We did nothing we needed to do to win this game. We couldn't shoot. We couldn't stop them. We couldn't force turnovers.
  2. The difference is the 3 point line. We are 3-12 and they are 7-15.
  3. We get it cut to 8, and then we leave their top 2 3 point shooters wide open, and it is all of a sudden 14 points.
  4. Except when Hammonds comes from behind and knocks Morrow down on a rebound, and then Tai goes up for a rebound and gets hammered they call him for a travel.
  5. Most definitely. We've got to find a way to get early fouls on their bigs in the second half. That's going to be impossible. These refs will make sure to protect them in the 2nd half. Do you really think this? The refs have a conspiracy against Nebraska? If so, why the hell do you still watch? They don't actually. I was trying reverse psychology, so that if I see a call that doesn't go our way, it might keep my blood pressure from spiking.
  6. How does a player wave his index finger at a ref, and not get a technical foul? The time the ball bounced off him, and the refs gave the ball to Nebraska, the camera shows him waving his index finger at the ref. I will give the ref the benefit of the doubt, that he didn't see it.

  8. Can someone explain to me how the ref calls a foul on Morrow? I understand he was in the air, but if that's a foul, then when they undercut Morrow on the inbound pass is a foul, too!!!
  9. A make-up call for that foul call on Watson. I thought in order to get called for a foul, you had to touch the other team's player.
  10. Can somebody make a shot? We look dreadful shooting the ball. 3 of 16 from the floor. That is terrible.
  11. We need to make our shots. This shooting funk continues. We were one of the leaders in conference games in field goal percentage before Shields went down.
  12. Given how many fouls Purdue has "committed," this could be a long night. Shields took it to the rim, and is getting hammered, yet we can't get a call, again.
  13. Why not Big 10 refs? They'll let you go at it without calling a foul! Then, after about 1 minute, they will decide that if either person touches the other, it is a foul.
  14. If you think media timeouts are going to be eliminated, you are crazy. TV networks are going to want their advertising money. What will most likely happen is there will be a media timeout at the under 5 minute timeouts each quarter. So, you are really going from 4 media timeouts to 3 (2 at the under 5, and 1 at the quarter break.
  15. I think we have to play zone, and just hope they don't hit 3's like last time. They are shooting 34.6% from 3 in conference road games. We really didn't get blown out last time. We were within 6 with 7 minutes to go in the game. Just no answer for Hammons down low. On offense, we need the good White and Shields. Wouldn't hurt for Watson to hit some of his mid range jumpers. The key will be getting stops and allow us to get out in transition.
  16. That's a good point. I would still watch the games. However, the more people talk about a 24 second clock, and now maybe quarters, the more, just IMO, it would lessen the college game.
  17. I would as soon stick to halves. It makes it feel more and more like the NBA. Why do we have to change everything to be more like the NBA?. I can count on one hand the number of full game NBA regular season I have watched in the last 15 years. However, I rarely miss a Nebraska game.
  18. I do agree. I hate "No-Jump" Woodbury (The guy is 7' and can't dunk the ball!!!) At least he's playing against a team who has thugs just like him.
  19. Eades just needs to get fired. If I was half as bad as him at my job, I would have been gone a long time ago.
  20. That was ridiculous. There is NO WAY Eades could see that foul. If they called this on Nebraska, Miles would have acted the same way. I have a simple solution, Eades no longer refs games because he is terrible. I will never forget him for giving Shields that technical last year. Another solution is to either get rid of traveling or start calling it like it is written. Ohio State's Loving took 4 steps and no travel against Iowa. It was ridiculous.
  21. 3. I've been very happy with recruiting and it is significantly better under Miles than our previous 2 coaches. I don't want him taking a flyer on a 7 footer who sucks. Big 10 quality centers don't grow on trees and as for me I'm happy Miles isn't taking any reaches. Despite our lack of size and youth(there have been several games this year where we have started 3 true freshman) we have stayed in ever game in this conference this season. We are one of the fastest and most athletic teams in the conference. We are going to be at full strength come Big 10 tournament time. Even if we lose in the 1st or 2nd round I feel great about our future with Miles at the helm. I did not feel this confident about the future of Husker Basketball going into our previous 2 coaches 5th years. You could really say the last 3 coaches. Nee was coming off a 10 - 18 season and picked by a wide margin to finish last in the Big 8.
  22. Your dreams are not high enough. 6 in a row gets us in the NCAA tourney.
  23. We need to find a way to start winning these close games. It would give us confidence. We have found ways to lose. We have fouled with under 10 seconds the last 2 games, one with a 2 point lead, and the other when we were tied. We let a team that makes 6 3's a game and shoots 29%, make 11 3's, at a 44% rate. We took too long to get going. Got down 18 with 14 minutes to go in the game. We started pressing and trapping, forcing turnovers and got back in the game. We played very poorly on the offensive end in the 1st half. McVeigh struggled, taking some dumb shots. It was nice to see us shoot 10 more free throws than our opponent. Should have had more attempts. Tai played extremely well down the stretch, defensively. Had a pretty good line, 7 pts, 6 reb, 4 ast, 3 stl.
  24. He has been sick apparently He has a sore shoulder. I love this team, but he just rose to the top of the list. We didn't find out he was injured until today before the game, and he went to talk to the media after the OSU game, and blamed himself for the loss despite the fact he was playing injured.
  25. Like I said in the previous game, we need to win a close game. We need to taste a victory where we make a play down the stretch. I just don't think we have the confidence right now to do anything except blow teams out.
