  1. Was gonna link to it but my phone wasn't cooperating. Thanks.
  2. BR has a story up now saying the buzz is that Molinari is the leading contender, so it's close to official.
  3. Good catch. Looks like they didn't offer, though.
  4. Not being snarky, but why do you say that?
  5. Agreed 100 percent. I know I'm not being the most patient fan here, but he's been here a year and we haven't heard much from him in the way of recruiting.
  6. That post fired me up!
  7. We have Harriman and Hunter as the "recruiters" on the staff. Craig Smith was Miles' go to guy on the bench and the two were on the same wave length in terms of game planning. We need a balanced staff and Molinari will serve as Tim's right hand man on the bench and will also be very valuable in evaluating talent. He has 30 plus years in the business and has also been a NBA scout, so he will be able to identify talent and project guys to the D1 level. Good points, but Smith was a pretty savvy recruiter in his own right. I wouldn't underplay that. It's time for Hunter to actually pull in a recruit in order to be one of our "recruiters."
  8. Sounds like a really good defensive coach who has spent time in the Big Ten (three years at Minnesota), but honestly, at first blush I'm disappointed in the hire. I guess I was hoping for more of an up-and-comer and someone with strong recruiting ties. Maybe he has them and I'm in the dark here. In Miles I trust!
  9. hes a one and done. He's a redshirt junior. Yeah, I don't think he provide much of an impact, but he would be a nice depth piece for us. He would allow NU to redshirt Hammond and also give Miles an option to have Pitchford on the floor with him or Smith at the same time for match up options. For one year that wouldn't be a bad option. Agreed.
  10. hes a one and done. He's a redshirt junior. Yeah, I don't think he provide much of an impact, but he would be a nice depth piece for us.
  11. Georgetown big Moses Ayegba is transferring. He's 6-9, 250. Averaged 2 points and 3 boards per game last year in 13 minutes per game. Not sure if Hunter recruited him or not. Here's the story... Georgetown’s frontcourt was simply a mess this season. Joshua Smith, the celebrated transfer from UCLA, only played thirteen games before he was ruled academically ineligible, and Mikael Hopkins was inconsistent. However, one big that did manage to shine slightly was Moses Ayegba, the once highly-touted recruit who proved a defensive force, both on the glass and on the interior, in 2014. Ayegba, though, is now transferring, per a report from Adam Zagoria, and has one year of eligibility remaining. Ayegba’s extra minutes were largely due to concerns of coach John Thompson III, who essentially had no frontcourt depth or rhythm for much of the year — the coach didn’t know who would show up each game. Hopkins would play well one game, and then disappear the next two. Jabril Trawick is aggressive and physical, two traits inherent for a successful big, but he was plagued with injuries, and while Nate Lubick did play well, he was an offensive liability as he attempted only 11 percent of the team’s shots in his final year. The move is a smart one for Ayegba — Hopkins, Trawick, and Smith all return, there should be more minutes for an improving Reggie Cameron, and the Hoyas’ 2014 is laden with bigs. Ayegba has proven he can contribute defensively in short spurts, so a move down a level, to a non-BCS school, might benefit the 6-foot-9 Ayegba.
  12. Looks like Nebraska and Ole Miss are his only two high major offers as of right now.
  13. Pretty much my thoughts as well.
  14. Of course it is early, but it just helps paint a picture of where we are at and what we need. Also, Rivers probably is ahead of Smith right now.
  15. Posted this in another thread, but thoughts on our current depth chart? PG - Webster, Parker, T. Smith SG - Petteway, Webster SF - Shields, Petteway, Fuller PF - L. Smith, Rivers, Fuller C - Pitchford, L. Smith, Hammond
  16. Miles specifically mentioned carving out bigger roles at new schools for the three players' departure.
  17. Projected depth chart now is...? PG - Webster, Parker, Smith SG - Petteway, Webster SF - Shields, Petteway, Fuller PF - Smith, Rivers, Fuller C - Pitchford, Hammond
  18. Sorry to see Hawkins go. I thought he had the potential to be a nice ball handler and shooter in the future. Best of luck to all three!
  19. April Fool's? We already were trolled once with a Vooch transfer...
  20. Was just gonna post that. Beat me to it.
  21. He had a down arrow, but I voted it back up because I didn't see anything wrong with the Walt thread. As for this one, it's pure trolling.
  22. If it were Agau's choice. Sometimes elite coaches and schools push kids out. Not saying that's the case here, but it wouldn't be a huge surprise either.
  23. UMMMM he IS from Virginia Tech Bwah!
  24. That's an impressive list of interested schools.
  25. Except I've provided exactly zero information. All I did was wish somebody luck as I would wish any of our players luck. In fact, I wish Petteway luck, I wish Shavon luck, I wish Walt luck, and the rest of 'em. Do with it what you will. Some of you already have. That's on you. Lame.
