  1. Sounds like he will redshirt next season due to surgeries on both shoulders.
  2. I see Creighton got a nice transfer in Maurice Watson. That's a great get.
  3. Yup. Is McKnight a graduate transfer or will he have to sit out one year? He will be eligible immediately, but there's some talk that he might turn pro instead. Is he that good? From what I understand, by turning pro, the reporter meant Europe.

  5. Yup.
  6. I'd be semi-shocked if this happened. I'd be completely shocked if this happens. The coaches have better guys on the radar for 2014. I wouldn't dismiss him quite so quickly. While it's probably a long shot, the kid has proven that he's a legit D-I scorer as a freshman, which is pretty impressive. Plus, just because we're on the radar of some good 2015 kids, it doesn't mean we're going to sign any of them. A bird in hand is worth two in the bush, or something like that...
  7. Molinari resigned tonight according to a friend of mine who covers WIU athletics. He says Mo is a good get for us.
  8. Georgetown sophomore Stephen Domingo is transferring out of the program, according to a report from Jon Rothstein of CBSSports.com. Domingo was a top 30 recruit in the Class of 2013, but he decided to enroll a year early at Georgetown. He was just 17 at the time, and still has not turned 19 year olds. In two seasons with the Hoyas, he’s managed to play all of 197 minutes and score 29 points in just 40 games. Domingo will be a prized commodity on the transfer market this offseason. A 6-foot-6 shooter that played for the USA’s U17 team and hails from San Francisco.
  9. Basically just lists the schools currently offered, what teams are in heavy interest mode, and what could come down the line after the AAU season. Nothing earth shattering. Any big schools yet?
  10. Miles didn't get to where he is today rebuilding program after program by hiring his friends. The idea is pretty absurd.
  11. And also the dribble drive, which is something Miles had wanted him to add to his arsenal. With his quickness, he could have some success trying to take opposing bigs off the dribble. He just needs to learn to drive and finish. I will say this, though, I find it difficult to rate how athletic Pitchford is. No doubt he can jump, he seems fast, but he's so darned robotic with the ball that either he's not the most graceful or natural athlete or he's simply thinking too much.
  12. With Walt's size, athleticism and outside shooting, I'd love to see him add a couple of post-up moves. If he can do that, he might be a poor man's Rasheed Wallace, which would be exceptional!
  13. I like this post.
  14. ESPN Insider has TP has a honorable mention preseason All-America, ranking 20th overall on their list of top players. http://insider.espn.go.com/mens-college-basketball/story/_/id/10746819/kansas-f-cliff-alexander-duke-c-jahlil-okafor-lead-2014-15-early-all-american-candidates-college-basketball
  15. A TV sports reporter in the Quad-Cities (Thom Cornelis) just reported on air that according to his source Molinari has accepted the position at Nebraska.
  16. ???
  17. I'll say this, too: I'd gladly take Coach Mo over Erick Strickland!
  18. Admittedly, I was one of the first ones here skeptical of the possible hire, but his background and the more information posters have added to the conversation have swung me in favor of Coach Mo. Unfortunately for him, he was at WIU, so he never was going to land big-time recruits, but being from the state of Illinois, obviously he will have ties and in-roads with coaches in one of the top recruiting hotbeds in the nation.
  19. I don't think he's an impact guy in any way, shape or form, but he can definitely give us 10-15 minutes at a position of major need. For the cost of a one-year scholarship, it's nothing to sneeze at either.
  20. Funny. I thought the exact same thing when I saw that.
  21. It was his second game. I wasn't passing judgment, just posting something I was curious about.
  22. I like what your guy is selling.
  23. This is neither here nor there, but I was curious how Covington fared against us. Turns out he struggled mightily in that game. He was 2-for-11 and 0-for-7 from 3-point range. Also, ESPN.com says he had offers from Indiana, Iowa and Wisconsin. I'm not sure how reliable that is, though.
  24. Give me those two and Covington and we can call it a day. A serviceable center, a very good one year SG while Covington redshirts for the year. That then gives us a solid class but then gives us 4 ships for 2015 as well. Would be the dream scenario for me. Greedy b@stard!
  25. If we end up with Chiles and Ayegba, wow! That would be an incredible haul when you toss in Hammond and Tarin!
