If we win our next two games ...
Silverbacked1 replied to Norm Peterson's topic in The Haymarket Hardwood
Would be cool if we still played that day and then flew back and walked in just as our Name is flashed on the big board. Hollywood at is best couldn't come up with that! -
Would they just have him play one year on the prep team like Ponder is? I know he might be a one and done but is that a choice for Arizona?

So are we all good with Benny sticking around
Silverbacked1 replied to Shuttlesworth's topic in The Haymarket Hardwood
Have always been huge Benny and Rivers fans. Bring their lunch boxes everyday. -
I guess that is what I meant because I know some of these guys losing their tournaments could hurt our bubble chance. Just liked the list to see the one bid conferences and who is their best.

Will add this here I guess. Comes from the Big Apple Bracketology. He has us a #1 seed again this week playing UTEP. Postseason Tracking Will be tracking all CBI/CIT bids on this page as we approach Selection Sunday. Also, here is a list of teams that would receive automatic NIT bids (because they finished first in their conference) if they didn’t win the tournament. Note: Teams may also remain in contention for an NCAA at-large berth. Potential NIT Auto Bids: Green Bay (Horizon League – could be NCAA at-large too) Gonzaga (West Coast Conference – assumption is NCAA at-large) Robert Morris (Northeast Conference) Davidson (Southern Conference) Iona (MAAC) Vermont (America East) Stephen F. Austin (Southland) North Dakota St. (Summit League) Florida Gulf Coast (Atlantic Sun) Boston University (Patriot League) Delaware (CAA) Georgia State (Atlantic Sun) High Points (Big South) Belmont (Ohio Valley) So we need for these teams to also win don't we?

Thanks for doing this Seat, it was fun.

Think maybe Tai year has caused many to question how good some new players are going to be.

He can't be any goofier looking. Woodbury is a box ballerina man.

Shot I think I need to enroll at Purdue. Free pizza!

Also saw 4 blocks. That is a stat line that will get you Mr. Basketball type of hype.

Okay there it is. This hopefully will work and is easier than finding that one body type of girl needed to bust a slump.

I am thinking a lot will depend like it did this year when we play who. Kind of like how our schedule was hard in the beginning and now has become manageable. Should be fun though.

HHCC Game #27 - March 1 vs. Northwestern (4:00 PM)
Silverbacked1 replied to UsAlways_AJS's topic in The Haymarket Hardwood
NU - 75 NW - 61 -
They are really going backwards. I think Indiana will be tough no matter what they do prior to playing us. Made a couple of tweets about Iowa This account just followed me. You can't make that up That's not fair Dimes you get all the good followers.

Who do you want?? Within reason
Silverbacked1 replied to Section_316's topic in Husker Hoops Recruiting
And if he becomes a two and done or three and done that would be okay too. -
PSU Neb NW Minn IOWA MSU I picked these without looking at HB. Could have picked the same as he did for the win, I'm not resting any of my players.

I am as sad as the Hawkeye fans are about our lose last night.

Throwback uniforms vs Northwestern
Silverbacked1 replied to hhcmatt's topic in The Haymarket Hardwood
This is so much fun right now, even after last nights game. I really think that the University is try very hard to make sports fun again. -
You're right. I made a pretty blanket statement. If it's physically hard for people to stand for an entire game or if they need to leave early because of that, it's not those fans I was meaning to lump into a group....the kind of fans that have been coming to games even in the darkest days of Husker basketball. I think I get overly defensive of people getting chastised for not standing because my mother went to Nebraska basketball games for 25 years and towards the end, she couldn't stand for the entire game....but dang it, she went...when many others stayed home. My mom is no longer with us, but she and My dad went to every game (even the athlete's in action games) for 25 years....They saw some good teams, but saw some not so good teams, too. Now, my parents knew their strengths and weaknesses and managed to get seats where nobody could stand in front of them (they were in the front row next to rail above a gate....but not all fans are able to do that...My folks stayed in the C section to keep those seats even though they could have moved into the B section, because they knew their limitations. I go to football and basketball games...I stand when others stand, I sit when others sit...but I tell you when two people are standing...and the only twopeople in the entire section are standing....I really don't get it....(to me they are just being inconsiderate to others rather than supporting the team) I fully understand where you are coming from Blind. My parents will be 80 this year. But they have not missed many of my sons many, many games over the years. As my son hopefully gets asked to walk on at Peru State next year my parents will be there. Now mom can't hardly stand for the National Anthem and my dad has had his hip fused for over 50 years. So he doesn't stand much either. They do yell and clap and cheer. If somebody gets in mom's way she will tell them to move, not sit down but move over, 52 years as a teacher gives that. Dad wouldn't even say a word. But they are there and they make some noise. So I try not to get in people way since I am in the front row and am hard to see around. But I do have a problem with people who get mad because I want to stand up during the game. Pulling on my shirt was nit cool the last game, Since everybody in The place was up. So I see what you are saying, we need to meet in the middle and try to make sure that everybody enjoys the game in a way that they want without over doing it so others can't enjoy themselves.

Throwback uniforms vs Northwestern
Silverbacked1 replied to hhcmatt's topic in The Haymarket Hardwood
I just wish they had the "belt" we all wore. -
I hope and it should be.... that the Vault will be rockin for Wisconsin. It should help us, and it should be fun Also has anybody else noticed that we played well in MSU with a louder crowd, but haven't played well in playes that aren't all that noises? Could be wrong, guess NW wasn't great even thought Noah was there.
