Also agree with you on your thoughts Dean. biggest thing that always bothers me about when we try to compare different players from different times is which rules and equipment are we going to use? Would like to see what some of the "old" guys would have done with today's rules. Also would have liked to see how well today's players would do without the traveling, palming, physical play. Just some things to think about. What would Jessie Owns run today with the nutrition and equipment? He ran on a cinder track and dug holes for starting blocks. He also came back to the US and couldn't even eat in most of the restaurants in the country. If he could have worked out with the US Olympic training facilities. Just fun to talk about it.

Having a scout team that isn't going to play in a game is also huge. In college my first two years I was lucky enough to see some game time so I got to run some of our plays during practice. But the other scout team guys never got to run anything we did, so if they got into a game, or when we played a JV game we really didn't know what to do. Sometimes we just ran the stuff we did as the scout team during the week because we knew what to do. This is why sometimes garbage time in games are so bad, not because the players might be really bad but they really don't know what to do.

Oh my goodness, As Tim Morland once said about a missed Jack Moore free throw, "I just fell out of my seat!" If this is true we are going to be very very very good the next few years.

I hope that the Tom Izzo we see is the one gets behind the scene. Because I think that could be a very steadying influence on his life.

Hope we can keep Sinclair and Bummer. I think, and this is just me, that Kelly stays because his cousin turn down the money last year to play with him. So he will repay that by staying, unless the money is wayyyyy to good. Next year could be like this one where we start slow then catch fire as it warms up. Hopefully next spring will be a spring and not a long winter. This team played much better when it was warmer.

Biggest news of the weekend. Also in my opinion I would like for Fullerton to beat OSU tonight. Here is why, much rather play two games in two days against another team that only has about 35 fans than to have to take two from a full house of fans who don't like us too much. Also know that Fullerton has good pitching, but are they as deep as OSU? I know they don't swing the bat as well.If we were to come back and win this whole thing against OSU at Stillwater, I would really like our changes against the other OSU.

It was a very well pitched game except for about 4 pitches. We had based loaded twice with only one out and don't score, that tells how this game was for us. I think that ball that kid from Fullerton is still going, good lord he got all of it.

and lose this game. Baseball is such a game of inches. 3 inches to the left and that second grounder is a ground ball out to third, but it hits the bag and we goat crap going here. Also would like to see us swing the bat a bit better.
