  1. I remember when KD played his one year at Texas, they came in here and beat us by a point. Sons- a- bitches...
  2. So much for the road Reds and the home Whites, I'm not sure your average Husker ham-n-egger is ready for a leopard print uniform. Godspeed to ya Brandon, hope your back on the court soon!
  3. LOVE that Ubel kid, he was on the team that beat the Golden Gophers in the last ever game played at the Devaney...
  4. I hope you're right, he'd be a perfect fit with Harden and Paul. ANYWHERE but Los Angeles...
  5. I think McGee is still the leading scorer in Wolverine history.
  6. I pray to God there isn't a "Decision II" on ESPN where James brags about winning 8 Titles when he's won a whopping 3 and lost 6.
  7. I believe Sampson was the only player to win POY honors 4 times in College.
  8. Or Belvadere, home of the Thayer County museum...
  9. Superior was a class B "Powerhouse" when I graduated, now they play 8 man Football. And oh BTW, the Boys have NEVER made the State Basketball tournament. I wanted to run out on that Devaney court just once...
  10. I'm curious to know who those other schools might have been, sure there will be lots of rumors/innuendo floating about the inter web. AND how in the hell did Hebron get the Cattleman's Ball and not Superior?
  11. You've probably heard this story, but when Alcindor was a freshman ( which were ineligible then) he and his classmates scrimmaged the Varsity, who were defending National Champs, and beat 'em.
  12. Well, I'll weigh in. There has been only one 6'9" Point Guard in the history of the League and his name is Earvin Johnson. He also led his team in rebounding twice from the guard position, when his center was, oh BTW Kareem Abduhl Jabaar. He was a better passer than either James or Jordan, and I wouldn't get too haughty about how many rings LeBron might get before he's done. He hasn't even caught Jamaal Wilkes yet...
  13. Agreed, as should Elgin Baylor and Jerry West. Here's some Finals trivia for you. West was the only player to win the the Finals MVP award playing for the LOSING team averaging 44 points a game in 1969.
  14. All-time 5, I'll go with 3 Lakers: Magic, Kobe, Jabaar then Jordan & James.
  15. I'd say Kareem because he played in an era when there were alot of great big men. Russell was never really "pushed",same with Mikan.
  16. And its even in Red...
  17. I was a HUGE Doc guy, But was always kind of lukewarm on Barry. I always got the impression he never really wanted to be here. Could be way off base, just going on a gut feeling...
  18. Sweet , I should be up that way Mid-June for some Twins games. Do you remember a bar on Lake and Lyndale called Shorty & Wags? I use to work there...
  19. Yep, when yer best players are John Turek, Jake Muhlheissen, & Andrew Drevo, you better pack a lunch.
  20. Im a member of an online Laker group & the endless hand wringing over Lebron makes me ill. He's a fantastic talent, no two ways about it. I just don't want to see him in the home Golds. And can we please stop with the GOAT "debate" between him & Jordan, ho hum. It's always puzzled me why Jabaar is never even included in this conversation. Six rings, the last at age 40, and scored more points than anybody, ever...
  21. I use to live in NE Mpls, where you @ Vinny?
  22. This is the school that photo shopped an African American student into some of their lily white promotional material. Nice work Bucky...
  23. If we lose I'm blaming it on Gill's "drop foot"
  24. Do you think Chris Webber gave JR a sympathetic call this morning?
